Growng up I allways has dogs. I love them

But then later in life I had two very wonderful Cats.Sometimes I think about geting a pet.

Since then I had a healer women tell me Cats are Karmic.

Is this true?  Is this a good/ bad thing?

If I like how snuggley a cat is that ok/  I don't se them as machines you feed.

I see them as great helpers and healers.

What do you think?

Ah, the much maligned feline. The subject of endless cruel jokes about their demise and usefulness, but they always seem to land on their feet, both literally and figuratively.

Turns out, the cat has surpassed the dog as man's best friend. There are 78 million cats in U.S. households versus 65 million dogs.

"Cats are very smart and very able to learn," says Dr. Petra Mertins, an animal behaviorist at the U of M. "They might just not be as dumb as a dog by letting you control them as efficiently."

Despite their soaring popularity, one myth persists, that cats are aloof and independent. "I don't think that's true," says Dr. Mertins.

"You know, it's a myth that cats aren't social," says cat lover Ken Mills. "They're very, very social creatures."

Another myth, that cat?s smother babies, they don?t, nor do they have nine lives.

If you?re a cat owner, you may not realize it, but your cat is constantly talking to you.

"It's been said that dogs have about 10 different sounds, and cats have 100," says animal behaviorist Dr. Michael Fox.

"If an owner is a good observer, you will see they have different vocalizations for different situations," says Dr. Mertins.

They have other ways of communicating as well, from touch and scent, to the twitch of the tail, to the eyes.

"A cat can be sitting across the room, and you look at it and the cat closes its eyes. It's indicating that he or she is relaxed in your presence. A scared cat will keep looking at you, ? says Dr. Fox.

There's also the cat's purr. It's not only soothing to humans, but to the cats themselves... which brings to mind the question: why do cats purr?

"It's supposedly a comfort behavior, but we also see cats purring in very high pain or just before they pass away," says Dr. Mertins. "The purring is a stress reliever and a signal of relaxation," says Dr. Fox. "It is a cat's mantra."

Another myth, that cats are afraid of water. Believe it or not, some cats like water. There are, in fact, feline

Here are something I found about cats.

I have to also tell you all...
My Question comes about Do to a little friendly Messenger. I call her Smokey.

She is a beautiful GRey coloor, short hair cat. She is so kind.

I'm going to take a picture of her, make a flyer and try to find her owner.

She looks well taken care of, she must be somebodies cat.

I was told alot of negetive things about Cats.

I feel she came into my life as a result of the postive enrgy I've been getting.

I really need to clear up my cat issues, and find a loving friend.

This one is real a gift. Thanks for what u all did.
I think you all brought Smokey into my life.

I have 2 cats.My big one {20 lbs)is Tigger.I dont over feed him, he is just a huge cat.Tigger loves everyone and people keep asking me if I want to get rid of him because everyone wants him.I just say no hes my baby.My little one is all black with long fur.Her name is Mandy.I got Tigger 2 years ago when my neighbor neglected him.He was a tiny kitten and she left him outside.Every time I opened my apt door he ran in and fell asleep on my bed.One day Joe asked the neighbor if she still wanted to keep him.She handed him to us and he was mine.He had a respitory infection and an eye infection. The vet said he would have died if not for us.It cost us 3oo bucks but he is so worth it.Mandy was my sisters and she didnt want her anymore.I also have a dog named Scooter.I feel Tigger came into my life for a reason. He is orange and white.Animals are great therapy its been proven.Love smokey. When noone else is around and I am feeling low Tigger always knows.

I love both cats and dogs, and consider them both as man/woman's best friends. Both have their own unique ways of bringing joy and assistance to humanity, and both are spiritual teachers as well.

I am very glad to hear you are enjoying the company of your cats. ;)

The thing I find most intriguing about cats is the vibrational frequency of their purr. If you pay attention and know reiki, you will find that a cat purrs at a very simialar if not exact same vibrational frequency as channeled during reiki. At least this is something I have found. I could be wrong on this, as I am still new at Reiki, but my aura seems to be changing colors from the blue green yellow it once was to a more purple gold alternating like a candy cane... haha... fun. Sorry off subject, but yea, if I am correct on this, which I think I am, than a cats purr = great energy healing. :)

Love and Light, me

HELLO Raylas, oneisall,   there is nothing neg about God creations,

the creatures great and small,  are our  brothers and sisters  and sacred them all.

HONOUR  the Animals for they have much to teach and share with us, if only we talk to them, they will talk to us,  and we shall know them.

a famous quote,  in fact i wrote it on the container for my little dogs biscuits, many moons ago,

" If we talk to the animals, they will hear us and we shall know them

If we dont talk to the animals they wont hear us and we wont know them

WHAT  we dont know we fear,  and what we fear we destroy"

YOU  never see an animal pretending to be something other than its true nature,

unlike human beings,  never satisfied,  often disguising/pretending to be something their not.

PEACE BE WITH YOU ONEISALL, AND LOVING UNDERSTANDING BE MULTIPLIED A MILLION FOLD.       soraya sunra,  :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

how true soraya......have you ever read the books by that author who wrote "All creatures great and small" ? Living on the edge of the woods on this pond I see so much of the animal kingdom and their ways...Our latest is hawks...families of them...and all day long lately I hear them, even from afar, calling out to the younger ones and them replying back as if to say..."I am over here"...and then they finally fly back to their parents....it's just amazing watching the order of that life they live...we can learn so much from nature....and like you said...I see in my pets...my cat...my lovable dogs...they do not pretend.....and they can show us all a thing or two about 'real' love...so maybe that is why God gave them to us.....such a great example of love with out conditions...we seem to be all about conditions some times....I do feel we are learning though...I read not too long ago about being out in nature...how important it can be....it has much to show and teach us....
to Dominion...how cool it is that you can feel that vibration! I envy your abilities...and hope someday to feel like you do these wonderful things....the purr as energy healing...makes much sense to me! the love and energy given by animals isn't a surprise....and it's great that they've brought animals into hospitals etc...as a way of healing patients...into nursing homes...as a healing modality... they do have the ability to bring healing energies to all of us....those who are ill and those who are not...loving energy is such a healing aid in itself......thanks soraya and Dominion....(why would people think cats are evil anyway?) that blows me away! even back in Egypt they adored and worshiped cats......HHhhhmmmm the person who said they are evil must not have been an animal lover huh??? LOL
Love to you....Dee

We went to the big E today. For those who are not newenglanders this is the eastern states exposition. It is basicly a huge state fair representing all the new england states. This is held in West Springfileld Mass.We got some great pictures of some of the animals which I will post when I figure out how.The sows were huge compared to their little piglets. Those are some of the pictures we took. Its a great fair.Anyway I love my critters.I get up in the morning and both cats and the dog are down stairs before I am and ready to eat.I grew up on a farm with horses and chickens and goats and rabbits and cats and dogs and donkeys. We had them all at some point. We also had to take care of them.It was work but it was fun for us.I wish I could have a horse and 3 dogs.I would like a shepard a rottweiller and a collie. As far as cats being evil people would not think that if they met my kittys. My little one is just happy on someones lap and my big boy just likes to gives kisses and hugs.He rubs the top of his head on my chin and wraps his front legs around my neck.Tigger kisses and hugs. Now they have all been fed and are sleeping 2 probubly on my bed and the dog at my feet.I love it.

Dee,
Can i ask where you are?I didnt know we lived close either. It takes us about an hr to get to the big E.We had fun.Its alot of walking and we were very tired last night.I made friends with a goat.I scratched her nose and she licked my hand. Then she went baaaaaaaa baaaaaaaaaa when we were walking away.I think it was goat for hey come back.It was a very nice day.I recieved some good news.My friend who is pregnet due Jan 16 is having a girl. She already has a little boy.She lost her first baby when she was 5 months pregnet due to a birth defect called turners syndrome. That one was also a girl. Then she had her boy.She is scared right now.Even though the drs are telling her all is fine, she worries. So I would like to ask for prayers for her and her husband and baby. Her name is Melissa and her husbands name is Roy.They are really wonderful people. Thanks a million.Godbless
