My cat, Squeaky, is at the vet's now. He collapsed tonight, and we found out he has lung disease and and enlarged heart. The vet says there is still a chance. Prayers and reiki please..

I am so sorry for your loss
you path is really troubled hunny of late you have had alsorts to deal with what they gonna chuck at you next I ask ???
I hope and pray for your load to become lighter I think you have had everyones share of stress lately can you get some time off for a holiday as I feel you really deserve one.
You are such a blessing to the board

Oh Redbird,
I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved cat Squeaky. I know that you are truly devastated and I can feel your pain and heartache.
I had to put my cat Roxanne down over 2 years ago and I was just beside myself. I loved her so much and had her for 16 years. She was my baby girl!!
Please know that although you can't see Squeaky he is with you at your home. When you go to bed at night he jumps up on the bed and snuggles next to you.
He knows how difficult his sudden departure is on you so his spirit has remained here on earth. He will be here with you until your heart has healed. Talk to him because he can hear you. You might even feel him rub up against your ankle.

Thanks so much. Your post has been such a help as trying to get back on my feet these past few days. It has all piled up, seems every few weeks a new loss. A few weeks before Squeaky my best friend went to the doctor with a cough. Turned out she had cancer and died a week later. Blew me completely. It's been surreal.
I'm now in the path of a hurricane. Just looking to see how much of it we'll get to see and how strong it gets over those gulf waters. Life's not boring. But, hey, I have all you guys.

Bless you, Julie. This helped me so much. Squeaky was like having ten cats. He was forever getting into something. He wasn't yet four but packed a lot of living into the short time he had. This came so out of left field. I've felt so emtpy, so out of fuel. Then coming here to be filled by the love of earth angels. Really, all of you are the best.

Thanks, Dana, for your encouraging words. So far, so good as far as CFS. With all the stress, things could be going downhill, but thankfully that is not the case. My challenge has been to feel normal again after so many crises. Still miss my cat and my other recently departed loved ones, but I was feeling like I was dusitng myself off once again. Then my dog started acting not right. It just absolutely can't be, so I'll ask for some prayers for Yathzee.
We're getting tropical storm Fay now, and hoping things won't get too bad where I am. Some areas are being hit pretty hard. So a prayer for those leaving their homes because of the flooding.

I am glad you cfs is doing ok....Maybe when you get some sunshine you need to raise the windows and open your curtains or blinds and let the sunshine in and let all the old out and bring in some new air...When me and Jamie were having lots of problems I did this and it helped... You have had so much happen....How is your father??/

Wonderful idea and I'll do just that. We've had wind and rain for three days now. Even so we have some windows open, nice cool air is a change from the usual August heat. Just soaking up that fresh air. I'm far from seeing the worst of this storm, some places getting sustained 50mph winds.
My father is making some progress, thanks for asking, and bless you, Dana, for all of your kindness. It has been a lot lately. I'm taking my time to regroup.

I'm thinking of you and sending healing to you. It sounds like you have had your sharing of sadness and stress. I know you're surrounded by angels who are holding you up. I had a dog (Bridgie ) for 14 years; she "took care" of me after my divorce. I know she was with me after that. I could feel her presence. You have so many people praying for you and sending you a healing light...Be kind to yourself.

Dee here hon.......dear God ....please give Red big hugs....I'm so sorry things are so out of control in your life right now...it truly stinks...glad to hear your dad is at least making progress...but, how about your mom? is she really doing well? I worry about her as much as I do you!
I haven't heard from my sister about the hurricane yet......but she is in the clearwater area and I don't think she is in harms way.....you my dear need to rest as much as possible? writing? sleeping? I'll be sending some reiki tonight when I do my self treatment at bedtime. ok.

Dearest Redbird, I am so so sorry for your loss - I know it is hard right now but I promise you that it will get easier. My cat Crystal got shot about 4 months ago, I still feel her presence around the home. I miss her so much.
