Many people are utterly shocked by the depth of this global economic crisis. They are scared,
terrified that they will be unable to pay their mortgages, or the electricity bill, that their
pension will be worthless, that they will be unemployed, that there will be no future for their
children.
The hard truth is that material things got out of hand. We got too greedy. We all – you and me -
started to follow the lead of those who wanted to make excessive profits; for land, houses, shares,
bonuses, jobs. Now we are all – individuals, businesses and banks, governments - afraid. We are
afraid that the whole system will collapse, that the world as we know it is over and this fear is
paralysing us, making us afraid to move forward in any way.
We must remember God has not done this to us. We have done this to ourselves through our greed. But
it’s not the end of the world – nowhere like it, and no, we are not going back to anything like
the 1930’s – I am being shown a lot of light in the future – but to move forward we must all
do our bit – we must all be prepared to be less greedy and to go that extra mile.
We need to move forward – we need to have faith and move forward one step at a time. We all have
to get our confidence back, every government; every nation, every individual, has to work together
for this beautiful world we live in. We can do it, but we must work together and all do our part.
Profits or financial gains will never go back to what they were. This is not sustainable.
Shareholders must look for smaller profits, directors of big firms and banks must look for smaller
salaries and bonuses. Employees must be prepared to go that extra mile. We must never again put such
a high price on material things.
How foolish have we been to allow the world economy to collapse? Now we all need to pull together-
no one country can solve this problem on their own, and to think they can is foolish – all nations
and countries across the world have to learn to work together. The global nature of the economy we
have created means we all have to sink or swim. I know we can swim – in learning to swim together
we’ll also learn a lot which will help in creating a better future.
We can do it. We are not on our own. We have the power to turn all that is happening in the world
today into a miracle in disguise. Let’s do our best to make the right decisions. Let’s use the
power of prayer to pray for all our leaders – politicians and business people to make the right
decisions to turn this into a miracle in disguise.
But it’s not just the leaders who have to do their part – we all have to do our part.
Governments and employers have to pull out all the stops to keep people in employment, and employees
in turn need to do their very best for their employers - they have to go that extra mile, do that
extra bit to make sure their employer is able to keep the business running until such time as we all
get back on our feet, which we will I know, because God and the angels have told me so.
There are people out there who are showing courageous leadership – who are moving forward
cautiously but decisively – but they need more support, they are not getting enough at the moment.
We need to have the courage to stop being paralysed with fear and to go forward; otherwise we will
have no movement for a long time. We are meant to be moving forward to let the light in. As we move
we will see this light, it will come streaming in.
Everyone in developed world has been given a chance to re-evaluate the important things of life –
to look around, see and appreciate all those things we have that are free but priceless – our
families, our friends, our health, our planet. We have become too wrapped up in materialism; many
people have started to believe that money can buy love and happiness. It can’t! It’s time for
us to have a re-think. God doesn’t want us to be hungry or cold or not to have a roof over our
heads; he wants us to have the material things that allow us to live life to the full. But he
doesn’t want us to fall into the trap of thinking that’s all that this life is about. There is
abundance and plenty to go around, but we need to remember that at the end of this life we can’t
take it with us. There is more life than this.
We have a wonderful future ahead of us – it will be different to the past, and it may feel a bit
bumpy for awhile, but it will be a better world for us and our children.
You need to have faith and to play the part you are asked to play. Hope is there in abundance - all
you have to do is ask. It’s that simple, remember, you are not just human - you have a spiritual
side, you have a soul, your Guardian Angel is right there beside you. All you have to do is ask and
listen.
God bless

| In such times as those described, It is always wise to remember the central place of spirituality in our life. Collectively (as individual nations, and communities of nations) this is equally true. It is sad when such events are needed to stimulate our awareness of this reality. Thankfully, the world is still populated by many individuals (far and wide, and from all backgrounds) who already operate from a benign spiritual awareness. Bravo to the message expressed in this post!
