Hello everyone,
My son is different. He sees energies (those who have passed, the energy of living people and animals) and he is EXTREMELY sensitive to spiritual things and emotions. He is empathic and is very often overwelmed by the emotions of those around him. For many years it was assumed he was ADHD, but after trying several meds, I felt strongly that that was not his problem.
Some of the behaviors that sent us looking for help were selective attention, anxiety, fears, even though he tests in a very highly intelligent his grades in school did not reflect it. Worse still was his social life. He was the kid who had few if any friends, never invited to birthday parties, and when I would want to throw him a party, there were only a couple kids he could think of that would be willing to attend. He faces constant ridicule and rejection. He does things that are kinda strange. He waves his hands around him alot. I asked him what he was doing and he told me he was playing with the energy. I asked what it felt like and he said it was kinda like running your hand through water, but the energy felt like soft strings. He will play with the energy and then fling his arm out quickly saying that he is send negative energy away. From the position of observer he looks kinda crazy. Doing things like this drives other kids his age away from him. I asked him to try not to do that around other people and he said that he HAS to do it when there are alot of people around with negative energy. When he is alone he doesnt need to do it. <sighs>
We took him to a shaman, and through energy healing and a past life regression he was freed of nearly all his fear and anxiety. He has come to accept that he has special gifts and he is thankful for them. I enrolled him in a school that is more sensitive to children that do not fit into the ordinary school child mold, and his grades have improved. All in all he is a much happier child with more good days than bad.
The issue that we still struggle with now is the social stuff. He still seems to scare other kids or make them feel too uncomfortable to be near him much. He over-reacts to things kids say to him and gets very upset, believeing everyone hates him. I believe he is picking up on unexpressed emotions in the other kids and doesnt realize that the emotions have nothing to do with him.
I really need help! He doesnt want to "adjust" who he is so that he fits in better, but he is always having to deal with rejection from other boys his age. The girls seem to accept his uniqueness more easily, but at 13, its not very easy to hang out with the girls.
It breaks my heart that he is not accepted by his peers. I keep reminding him that he has a special role to play in this world and someday people will see that. It is little comfort when he is called "freak" and "weirdo".
I want to support his unique gifts and help him to grow in confidence with them, but the poor kid needs other people that understand him and can accept him. How do I help him to find friends? Can I?
thanks for any insights you may have,
JystDandi

You need a pat on the back for accepting him and helping him the way you have well done.
He is obviously a crystal child they are often mistake for ADHD or autism and are very intelligent
Doreen Virtue wrote a book on crytal children and there maybe info on the net about this sybject.
He is a very clever boy and will go on to achieve great things regardless of peoples opinion he chose this path for a reason although it may never be known !!
He also chose you for a reason too , because you are strong enough to help him achieve wwhat he is here to do , we are never given more than we can deal with , although it doesnt seem that way at the time.
Time moves on and we become stronger and learn from lessons given.
It is unfair how children treat others they can be really nasty , it is fear based.
My son is empathic especially in the school yard its not a place I enjoy niether.
My Teacher Kathy would be good to talk to.
If you are interested send me a PM and I will send you her contact info.
Many thanks for sharing
All the Angels applaud you for your hard work keep it up !!!!!!!!
Much Love

Dear Jyst
Please read the post Emma put in the Letter from AA Michael.......it speaks of children like your son.You can ask Michael to be with Keaton everyday. He will surely protect him from that abusive stuff the other kids say to him....Jesus is by his side as well....and guiding him through ....Jesus knows how to help him get through those sort of rough issues!
blessings Dee
OOPS...........It was Faye who wrote that post about Micahel......sorry hon

You are a wonderful MOM for sure!
The fact That you even consider your child has a gift, even when he fines it hard to communicate is outstanding. Most time there are spiritual reasons these kids are like this, hey these kids..lol
i was like that, the crystal child stuff is good to read about. AA micheal stuff is good too, except it is more popular so there is some not so good books on AA Micheal.. don't hate me for saying this (please), however Emma's letter from AA M is great!
Your a great MOm Jyst!

Thank you everyone for your encouragment. I did read the AA Michael letter and I read it to my son. He found it very comforting. I also found a guy here who is a Lakota shaman and works with adolescents. He shared that in the western world, many people born like my son are thought to have mental illness and in the old days they would have been sent to a santatorium. But in Lakota and other Native American tribes, people like my son weregreatly revered and usually held positions in the tribe as medicine men, spirit warriors, shaman or other posts whose jobs were the protection and guidance of the tribe. That made him feel much better too. His councelor is teaching him some energy purification ceremonies and will be teaching him more as he is led. I am very excited that he has someone who understands what he is seeing and feeling.
Thank you all

Dandi, your last post made my heart sing.
I am so very happy your son is being taught about his gifts.
There are not many who are so lucky as he.
I meet lots of kids with gifts whose parents don't understand.
Love mia xx
