I was just wondering what everyones plan were for thanksgiving????

We will be having our thanksgiving with all of mine and my husbands family plus we have invited some that had no relatives to be with......I have to figure out how many...

I am thankful that I am able to be with family and friends....There are so many things to be thankful for....

I wish each and every one a happy holiday....I know I am starting a week early.
There will be lots of cooking next week....

We are planning on visiting my sister. She cooks the dinner every year.I sure miss my dear mother at this time of the year. The weekend before thanksgiving she would do all of her shopping. The day before she got up extra early and started cooking. She would make all her pies. Then later she prepared all her vegatables to cook the next day and the morning of thanks giving she prepared the turkey and let it cook all day.I just do not feel the same about the holidays now.I remember the smell of turkey seasoniong and sage. The windows would be all fogged up and it was so cold outside. With our large family my brothers had to construct a huge table with a big piece of plywood layed over 2 smaller tables.Mom always has bowls of fruit and nuts all around the house.I can just picture her all covered in flour after she was done baking.Oh how I miss her.Well she would want me to count my blessings. So,here we go.There is my son,and there is Joe.Also I have a roof over my head and enough food to eat. Many people do not.I have my kittys and my dog.I have friends and family that I can turn to in my time of need.I have all of you and I have my angels who I have never ending faith in to guide me.I hope each and everyone of you have the best holiday season ever.Much love to all and godbless.

I'll be going on vacation up in Tahoe with my family - we're going this weekend, be back Sunday, then head on out there again on Wednesday. The second trip is planned for my cousins and I to go snowboarding (I haven't tried it!). This weekend will just be to relax.

And yep, we're still going to have turkey! And rice! Can't live without our staple food. LOL.

For Thanksgiving and Christmas we have all of my family and my husbands...Plus there were some that we knew that had no where to go that we invited to join us....We rented the city community building we will have between 50 and 60. It is nice to be able to have mine and my husbands families together...It works out well for everyone because we all bring things and that makes the work easier for everyone..

I wish the best for everyone to have a nice Thanksgiving.....
