Erm Paul - that wasn't me with the BC's, that was Dana!  But yes, amazing breed.
Yes, I have heard of Therapeutic Horse therapy - my parents ran a B&B for years, for physically and mentally disabled children (groups of children from institutions/schools etc) and my horse was sometimes used to give rides there as she is so calm. It is a joy to see a paraplegic child unable to speak light up with joy from the back of a horse! Awesome thing.

| Geez if you guys can help me with my 2 English Setter I would appreciate it. They are basically still puppies (will be 2 in March) but are they looney. I love them with my whole heart and they are beautiful. They have been through training 3x and it is still a challenge just to walk them. I was only on this forum for about 2 or 3 chats although I read it everyday. I don't feel I have enough angel wisdom to share with you folks so I just read. I wish the angels would talk to me. I talk to them all the time but sometimes I don't think I get any reply. I do talk to Dee through e-mails and she has helped me with some stuff. I wish I knew more to share and get involved like you. I wouldn't want to give someone bad info or advise.

hello hon....
please know one thing....YOU are more full of wisdom than you realize...We are all able to tap into that 'wisdom' we came here with...the wisdom we knew before we came here.....it just takes patience and practice to open that connection...it's more of a 're' connection...Those guides and angels of yours are just waiting to send all the knowledge to you ....ask them daily to send you a sign...or to show you something you need to pay attention to...start with reading either Doreen's books or someone whom you feel comfortable with. Trust..
also, open that line of communication with that whole realm.....God included....He IS SO RIGHT THERE......these past few months, for me, have been so incredible that I am still in complete awe...and humbled to a state of awe as well.
Do yourself a favor...take time daily to read a chapter...practice what you've read...
trust me they ARE listening...ask them for signs?
mine do the 'number' thing.....sometimes many times a day.....they are the ones who 'urge' us to look at the clock at that certain time to see a sign or message....
there are so many great books and angel sites to get you going...I didn't even do this until about 5 years ago after a reiki attunement...Life is so different for me now....the guidance flows freely..the help I need is there...I don't think I could ever go back to not having them be a part of my daily life....
now, about the dogs!!!!!! EEKS....I have a lab...an English Retriever...and her new puppy...I've completely turned to mush...I have no brain function at all any more...I'm exhausted...I take her out OFTEN...she hasn't had any accidents...but, not because she 'smart' she is only a baby still...but, it's a good way to getting them house broken more easily...
leash training is hard...well...can be.....I've had a few dogs who were easy...first work in the yard...one on one....usually when you walk two they will try to be in front of the other one...usually....get on to Dog Whisperer site and find his way of doing things....I plan on it myself.....I taught my dogs in the yard first...back and forth...then, we hit the streets.
Please feel free to join in on this forum...questions? comments...books you've read...anything...we all learn from each other...on a continuous basis....

Hey Dee and everyone else.
I think I have read every Doreen Virtue book out there. I do look for signs and I do talk to my Angels. I just think I am doing something wrong or not doing something right. I am just messed up I guess. Oh well. I have done all that with "THE BOYS" but they still have a mind of their own. I do love them and I thank God for them everyday. They are a joy but they are still babies and bold. LOL Have any of you read Angels In My Hair? It is an excellant book. I read it over and over. This is what I am saying. I think certain people are special enough to have Angel contact and others aren't. I don't know if I can be.

Hopeful, none of us have the full truth about anything, the most we can hope for is to find the truth about ourselves! So don't be afraid to speak up. And there is no such thing as good or bad advice either, cos it is up to each person how much they will take on and how much they will discard of all that they hear from others. What is good advice for one is bad for another. If you speak what rings true to YOU, you can't be wrong. Might not be true for someone else but that is not your problem. Just my two cent's worth!
About the dogs - I attend a clicker training course with my 4 month old puppy and it is simply GOLD! I have the problem that he pulls a bit too and our trainer said to me how to solve it with the clicker training (can be used without clicker but with praise instead). Put a box with something delicious about 80 feet away from your starting point. Then take the dog on a leash and start walking towards the box. Every time your dog pulls you turn around and go back to your starting point. Every time. Don't say anything, just return and start over. Every time your dog walks on a loose lead you praise/click and give a tid-bid. Timing is important here, you must reward the instant your dog walks on a loose leash. You might have to return to your starting point many times and you might also have to reward many times and return to the starting point BEFORE you reach the box - but believe me, it works! And it is worth it. You can correct unwanted behaviour this way too - my puppy has begun to jump at the door when he thinks I am not fast enough in opening it. So this morning I returned to the barn until he stopped that. Took only 2-3 times before he got it.
Edited to add: I just saw your post - EVERYONE is special to the angels!! You don't have to be special to interact with them, all humans can do it. Have patience! Perhaps attending an angel clinic would be a benefit for you? Doreen Virtue hosts angel intuitive clinics and you don't have to be attuned to the angels beforehand to participate in one. Oh, and one more question: Have you actually tried listening to the angels? Be very still inside, open your heart and really listen? Not everyone experience angels the same way - you have to find out what works for you.

Roka thanks for the words. I have never been to an Angel conference. Just had some readings done. I have a hard time being still. I can when I am very tired or trying to sleep. That is when I do most of my talking with the Angels. I do talk to them constantly but maybe I am just missing their answers. I don't know. I ask everyday to please let me be calm but I am still the same way as before.
As for my Boys I did do the clicker, treat training. That was the first training we did. They were wonderful in the yard around the picnic table and fence perimeter but put them out on the sidewalk they were nuts. They were jumping on each other and peoples porches and cars (yikes I could have been sued if any damage was done) so that did not work. I never heard of the box thing. Maybe I will try that. I did end up going with a choke collar which I am not happy about but that is about the only thing that could keep them semi-controled. They walk a little bit better now but at least they are walking. No jumping just pulling.
Thanks again sometimes it just helps to have people try to push you to the right path.

Hmm, hopeful, that is strange. But I am glad to hear the dogs are just pulling now and not jumping. A client sent me 2 books by Cesar Millan (the Dog Whisperer) - perhaps it was an idea for you to read? The one called Be The Pack Leader might be interesting for you.
As for you asking to be calm... well, being calm is YOUR job, kind of. Sorry if I sound harsh; the angels can certainly help but it is still your path to do the work to get there. I am not trying to put you down here, I just say what I have experienced myself. It might sound strange but I was the same as you. And getting to where I am today has taken me 6½ years of daily meditations, several times a day. It doesn't come overnight; it requires practice. At first you might only be able to be calm for one minute and the next for 2 minutes etc. But it is worth it.

I have some of them; they are awesome and they can really make you relax and be calm inside, even if it is only for the time while you hear the podcast. And sometimes you need to hear it more than once. I'd recommend starting out with the Michael/Metatron one. Then you are well protected.

I think maybe you are 'blocking' your progress...I'm sure they are trying to talk to you......I have not read angels in my hair...but...I was having this experience and wondered what it was.....LO and Behold, she was on a talk show...and guess who guided me to see her????
Sure made me feel better knowing what was going on.......No one needs an attunement to connect with their angels....heck, I'm beginning to think there is no reason for 'attunements' to 'anything' anymore......I feel the presence of God when I meditate...and I know people who have the same 'feelings' as I do who were never attuned to Reiki.....This past year was SO eye opening to me...and that praying in dire straights really changed my whole life...Please know hopeful you WILL connect ...just sit quiet for even 10 minutes a day and ask your angels to come in close.....ask for your guides to be with you and ask Michael to be a force of protection for you..(always before meditating or prayer even we should protect ourselves) so they say....I feel protected always....they are there..they are trying.....I'm really feeling as if they are saying you are maybe feeling 'unworthy'???? meaning you feel 'unimportant' enough to have that bond with such beings of pure love??? Is that making any sense.....because you are SO worthy of everything out there God has for us....and more...
ok, also, before going to sleep at night, think they are telling me to tell you: to ask them to come to you in dreams.....ask them to help you see and know this when you awake as well....HHhhmm
to remember the dream.......I've had family and friends visit me in dream state...We are all able to connect with all levels of the mind...body...soul....and it is when we are awake we don't trust our abilities...until we've had the first one while awake...it's all good from then on in!!!!! Trust them hopeful...trust me ...you will meet them......how about hat book???? did it help...

| Thanks Roka and Dee. Yes I think I am blocking them. Not intentionally though because I don't think of myself as worthy. I don't know how I think of myself. But I do try and I will try harder to connect. I find change (pennie, coins etc) and notice numbers but I wish I felt them or asked for something and had it happen. I have another Angel e-mail I am waiting on to see what they have to say. I will try those Doreen Virtue podcasts and see if they calm me. Thanks again for the replies.
