I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on getting more people involved and getting some of our older members back involved? I miss everyone and all the post that we went into depths and discussed so much.

Maybe we need to be praying for our forum to and contact some of our other members and check on them. what do you think?

I am new around here, only joined less than a month ago, but I have wondered why it is so quiet. I too hope that things pick up a bit! :) I am showing this forum to everyone I know that does spiritual work (and who speaks English). :)

I too have wondered why this forum has gotten quiet.

Roka why don't you toss out some thoughts.  I am always interested in people in far away places.

Tell you what.  I'll share with you.  Six years ago I was a volunteer at a school where we helped immegrants learn how to speak English.  I LOVED it.  I learned more much much more from them than they ever did from me.  I enjoyed learning about China, Russia, Peru, Korea, Viet Nam and other places.  I will say that I did not run across anyone from Europe.  Heck, almost every single one of them knew English well enough for us to talk about most things.  I realized that these people were more bilingual than I was.

We here in America are not fluent in lanuages other than our own.  Oh sure they teach Spanish, French, and sometimes Latin in High School but.....it is not used in public.   Sure I'll say gracias at the Mexican restaraunt. Actually there are a lot of folks here in the USA who dislike the increased use of Spanish.  Many of the lables on things are in spanish.  One hardware store even has all of its signs in Spanish and English.

Fear is a big problem here.

I pray for the day when all people learn that we are all God's children.

Love is the answer.

so please share ANYTHING Roka.

namaste,

paul

Welcome Roka nice to have you here.

I would love to travel to other places and countries.
I do believe Love is the answer.

Paul How is the weather where you are? It is cold here and suppose to be getting colder a chance of snow tonight and tomorrow.

Okies, trying again. Not the same as I wrote the first time, but the gist of it is the same.

First of all - yes, I agree that love is the answer, but most people are far away from that truth yet. Fear is a factor here, it requires a lot of guts to look inwards and look at things within yourself that needs changing. I know it because I have been there - before opening up to angels and starting working within their love, I lived a life with lots of fears and it has taken years to work through the ego patterns that need changing. It is hard work. And I am not done yet but I am a good sight further down the line towards peace and love than I was 6 years ago when I started out. :)

Why people don't post much on this forum, I don't know since I don't know who they are. But I can say that I have a friend, who is also one of my students whom I taught to open up to angels and to communicate with animals (as in exchanging thoughts with them, telepathically - also one of my spiritual skills). She was recently a participant on one of Doreen Virtue's Angel Intuitive Therapy courses and since Doreen has an online forum that is only open to her students, my friend prefers to go there instead of here - I guess because she feels she has more in common with the people on there since they are all angel intuitives. I could also imagine that the forum is more "streamlined" since they have all been on Doreen course - but since I don't go there I am guessing, it is nothing I know for sure.

I am a member of several online horse related forums in the UK and Australia. And there are lots of sceptics there to the spiritual approach I have to horses (as in the animal communication). I have been called a fraud and worse, in print for all to see, and that was hard to take cos I am a very honest person. But people are afraid. If they acknowledge that animal communication (and other spiritual skills) are possible, it would force them to look at the world and their own lives in a totally different way. And their approach to how they are around horses and train/ride them would have to change too - too big a mouthful for most people, hence it is easier to just dismiss what I do and call me names. Mind you - I am not judging people here, I am mainly saying it as I see it. I know why they did it, but at the time it still hurt a lot because I had insecurities within myself as to whether or not my skills held up. :) When I first opened up my spiritual skills and eventually my animal communication skills, it forced me to take a good long hard look at how I had been acting around horses/animals until then. I had a lot of guilt to shift - not that I have been cruel to my animals; it was just that I had been training them in the old traditional way and that did not fit with how the animals saw things and how I see things now, working from pure love - and on their terms, not mine. And that is hard to take, which I guess is why most people dismiss it because that is easier than working through the changes. I am rambling but I hope you get my gist. :) To be fair, people on the forum whose horses I had helped and who were happy with my work, did stand up and defend me, which was very nice to see. :)

I understand what you say, Paul - about the immigrants and the Spanish language. It is the same here in Denmark, only it is not Spanish but people from Iraq and Turkey that people are wary about. There are a lot of immigrants from there here in Denmark - 2-3 generations back. Fear again of what people don't understand. Denmark is a small country, only 5 million inhabitants, and no one really speaks our language, so in order to get by in the world we need to be able to speak other languages, mainly English. Our children learn English in school from age 10 and German from age 12. Germany is our nearest neighbour to the south and many companies do trade with German companies so that makes sense. Plus that we have hordes of German tourists up here in the summer (but they don't bother learning Danish, do they? They just expect us to understand them! ;)) I don't like German because their grammar is rather complicated but I do understand it well even if I don't like speaking it. I myself am fluent in English, and I speak a bit of German, Spanish and French, and then I understand Norwegian and Swedish as I worked for a company who had business there. :) I had the blessing years ago of having a friend/penpal from California who is a writer (with several books published) and she has an exceptional grasp of the English language which taught me a lot. What is hard is learning another language's slang - when I was first on the Australian horse forums there was a lot that I didn't understand because it was abbreviated and slang. But I asked and now it is no problem.

Okay, I am long winded and most things might not make sense - I had a better answer typed out the first time! What I was trying to say is that perhaps people hold back talking about angels and such because they are afraid of coming forward with it, and to have their beliefs challenged. Cos until you have absolute faith in the Creator and his angels, that is only human to feel.

How we can get people involved, I don't know. You can't force them to participate in discussions, can you? :P I don't know if the so-called financial crisis (I refuse to buy into that - I have abundance and everything I need, period! :)) has anything to say in this, it's perhaps that people are busy and might be forced to abandon their spiritual practices in order to get "normal" jobs. Just a thought, I have no idea if it is true. But I do know that many lightworkers at this time are going through some emotional trauma in order to grow, and while you do that you don't have much energy left over to participate in discussions like this.

When I first joined here I sent Emma a PM telling her how much I enjoy her posts and the light shining from her writing. A real joy. But I don't think she has even been on here cos she has not picked up the PM yet. :? So how to get old members to look in here, well that is not easy, is it?

Perhaps the discussions on here are too "heavy and technical" for most people to read (if you are not on your spiritual path for long or not at all)? How can we make this forum have a lighter feel and keep the discussions "simple" enough for non-spiritual people wanting to join in to understand? Just a thought (but not mine, Elcarim from this forum suggested that :))

Dana - don't talk to me about the weather, we have had snow for 3 weeks now and the roads are impossible. Temps down below 14*F makes things a bit bothersome (and cold! :)) but it does look like we have an ice winter, which is rare. I look forward to spring!! :)

Morning all.......
Roka, don't think twice about being "long winded"...as you can see I do the same thing..the brain goes faster than my fingers can type at times!
I can tell you that when I first joined a few years ago I was just plain 'shy'...and it took a while before I jumped in and joined the conversations. In time maybe, I would like to say to any new members that it is a bit scary to put yourself out there, especially in this type of forum as well.......people are led here for many reasons and if you've been led here but you're not sure why as yet, don't worry about it...and, if there is 'any' subject anyone would like to discuss please just go ahead and 'ask'...no matter what the subject is...and no matter what your feelings on the subject are...everyone who comes into this place is just as important as the next guy...and every question is taken with just as much importance and acceptance as the next question...there are NO silly questions or subjects here. I hope that people would really know that they 'were' 'guided' here ...by your guides or angels or whom ever you feel is 'closest' to you in this journey of yours.
Knowledge and the curiosities of these metaphysical subjects and issues are spreading at a rapid rate these days. Something 'sparks' inside of us to get us up and seeking...so to any one who is new here please know we have all been in your 'seat' so to speak...we have all been in that place of "something" out there is 'larger' than who we are...and this is a great place to seek some answers..IF anyone in here cannot give you an answer to something we WILL direct to someone who can.
also to the newbies...I can tell you that since I have joined this site my life has been changed in ways that still leave me in complete 'awe'...the growth in me spiritually, the knowledge I've gained and the 'experiences' of spirit still never cease to amaze me....my connection to spirit, and the Divine...No matter what your original 'religion' was, growth of spirit brings us all to the same result...Love of God 'Source'...because we don't all 'live' the same religion does not mean we cannot agree on the fact that people come from that same God "Source"...our beginnings were all the same and from the same 'source'.
Ergo, respect of others in here is huge...welcoming new members is something we love to do!!! and thank 'Admin' for the PM's...IF someone isn't comfortable to 'put their thoughts or questions out in the forum for all to see'...you can PM the person you wish to discuss things with...I can promise you that people in this forum care about each and everyone in here...I can't express enough the joy, love and friendships I have formed in this place...Friends I will love forever and even wish to someday meet...we all have much to offer here...we all bounce things off of each other...
I don't think things are too heavy or technical for people...I just think they are shy or unsure...Know that these newbies were guided here just as all of us have been...there are no mistakes...we were all brought here by some force to learn or share or teach 'something'...
So, anyone, anyone who has a question, or are reading a post and have an urge to 'reply'...PLEASE do so,,,before you do you can ask your angels or guides to 'guide' your reply...In this site, in my beginning as I will call it...I learned how to connect to them and also that they are here right beside us to do that very thing...guide...empower us...and even 'urge' us...
I hope that we have given people a place of peace which will give them the 'urge' to join in and share experiences, ask questions, and even want to discuss a new subject...we are 'always' always open to anything!
much love all..........blessings be with you...dee

Roka,

Tell me more about how you communicate with horses. I am convinced that we humans have more than five senses. I personally "FELT WORDS". Yes it is nearly impossible to explain. As odd as tasting color I suppose.

One thing I do like about this forum is how it has opend my mind to ideas I'd never considered.

As for Emma. She is on facebook a lot lately.
Charming and wise as ever. I personally do not go there much because I have a slow internet provider at home.

love harmony and peace to all

:D No, Paul, I understand what you mean by feeling words. With training, you can probably learn to hear them.

How I communicate with horses... well, how to explain that? For me, I am pretty sure my angels work as "translators" - they rely the animal's direct thoughts to me and vice versa. I connect spiritually with the animal, soul to soul sort of, but by being in a sacred, protected spiritual (etherial) room that I have created for the purpose. It is hard to explain I suppose, especially if you haven't tried it. It works like a distant healing would and I can feel everything the animal feels, emotions and pains etc. I nearly always tell the owners things about themselves or the animal that I could never have known if I hadn't talked to their animal - it happens time and time again.

For a further explanation, perhaps you might enjoy reading an article I had published a few years back in Natural Horse Magazine - I scanned the article into my website:

Yes dee - perhaps newbies are just shy... come think of it, I have had people say to me many times: "I only dare talk to you about angels/spiritual matters because I know you will understand" - they are afraid to speak up about it, which is understandable I guess, given they don't know the reaction they will get from others. :)

Thank you, Dana - that was a very nice compliment!! :) Glad you liked the article... and I am sorry if the buttons on the English main page don't show (but they work!) - I changed the program I upload the homepage from because my provider stopped server extentions to FrontPage, so I mess around with it still... :?

Horses are some of the most spiritual animals there are; they are awesome to work with and chat to. They are also very healing animals. I never seize to be amazed by their unconditional love, forgiving nature and affection for humans. :) I don't ride anymore due to physical challenges (and the fact that my horse is now 23 years old) but that doesn't stop me from enjoying having her. I am lucky enough to be able to have her virtually outside my back door so I don't have to travel anywhere to take care of her.

We have a border collie shadow and he is so smart he looks you straight in the eyes when you are talking to him it seems as if he understands everything you say. My husband has trained him to do several things. He use to train bird dogs and it amazes him how smart shadow is he said he thought if he was smart enough he could train shadow to do anything. Everyone that has been around his amazed. He is such a joy to our family.

I would love to go ride and we have some friends that have horses but I am nervous about riding do to some physical things with me.I think I would pay in the long run for a ride.
I think animals are great for people and they can help you and they show so much love. It is sad to see animals that have been mistreated.
I bet you really miss riding? Blessings Dana

Yep border collies are really smart, Dana; I have always liked them but they are a bit too high strung for me and I wouldn't do it justice if I had one cos it is a working dog. So I chose (or rather got by accident! :)) a lower energy breed but still a sheep dog.

I know what you mean when you say it seems like Shadow understands everything - and you know what? I bet he does! :) Dogs can read thoughts without problems but some are better at it than others - as in some are very tuned in spiritually and some are less so. I have a very, very sensitive spiritual dog in one of mine (the verdict is still out on the puppy but I think he'll be the same) and another who is less tuned in but still on the ball with things that happens around here. So all the more reason to be careful what you think around your pets! :)

Hmmm, do I miss riding? No, not really actually. I have always been a nervous rider as I have physical problems since birth and I was afraid to fall off and get even more injured. So riding was a two-edged sword with me - I loved it but was nervous about falling off. This was mostly when I became older; when I was a teenager I didn't care and I also bounced a whole lot better when I did fall off! Gah, the chances you take on horseback as a teenager, I shudder to think of it today! :?

I occasionally use my horse and dogs when I teach others how to do healing/Reiki and how to do animal communication - they "practice" a bit on my pets before moving on to their own, as I know mine so well so I know if the student gets wrong information and something needs to be adjusted. Very practical. And of course I have asked permission by my pets beforehand if they wish to participate or not. :)

As all spiritual paths, many of us have been guided here and are guided to venture out. Some will come back, some will not. But all is well, either way. And no matter how long or how short we have spent together in this forum, the Universe has already taken into account what we've all been through and thus, we do have to allow change to happen... Simply state, perhaps other members have moved on already and followed where their spiritual journey will take them.

I'm not much here all the time, and lately even my blog has been neglected. My interest in Facebook is waning, but then again I was never really a big fan of it even though it would seem so because of my very active profile.

There are many other things I want to focus on in my life, and I'm still hoping that there would come a day when I don't even have to be in front of a computer so I could breathe life as "life" - if you all get what I mean. Alas, work and even socializing requires the use of this techie thing, though now I am getting better at minimizing the hours I spent in front of my Mac.

I'm still here, though not that much, and also, like many of you, miss the older members - my big sister Soraya for one. And RedBird, LavenderRose, Julie and Maureen and LadyRaven. Also those who have been on for a short time like Chontae and Miarose. I miss the old deep thought-provoking discussions and the fun too, where we posted silly photos (remember the mermaid thread?).

But I'm grateful we still have this site and we still have each other, and am sure that when the Universe deems it right, we'll all be reunited as the family we have always been. Count on it! Perhaps maybe in the flesh too! ;)

Howdie,

Roka your husband and I have things in common. You say he raised bird dogs and you all had a Border Collie. Border Collie's are a breed apart. It was my families pleasure to have the companionship of Sadie. She grew up with my three children. They were her herd. She took very good care of them and vice versa. LOVE. My father-in-law introduced me to bird hunting. We've had English Setters, Britnanies. and currently have a rescued brit. englsh setter mix.

NOW for horses. Have you ever heard of Theraputic horse therapy? It is used for all kinds of things. Those with physical as well as emotional conditons. Personally I am afraid of horses. THEY ARE SOOOO BIG. However, some close friends ran a not for profit center that was licensed and all of that. It really worked.

gotta go.

Uhh... Which poem was that Emma? lol "Empty Confession"? =D Yeah, it was good. I felt really better after writing it though I cried a lot too. It's nice to have something beautiful created out of a painful experience. Thanks!

Poppa Paul, I love and I fear horses. They're such amazing powerful creatures. I fear them because I've heard stories of getting kicked... Ouch! lol But still, it would be awesome if I could ride one freely - without saddles. That would be soooo amazing!
