I had a crazy thought while driving today. I wondered if God has free will? Can God choose to do evil? I don't really know. I suspect God can allow evil to exist but can God choose to BE evil? I don't really know. God is everything so does that mean he is also evil?
I know, I know I need to get a real life.
Why worry about such escoteric stuff when people are suffering from disease or starvation? Here I sit pondering....

hhhmmm.....God is everything...God IS...the I AM.......hhmm....I guess God can manifest anything...I don't feel he is evil though...only the purest of love...we are the ones who created the icky stuff...lol....and given free will...with the free will we are able to 'correct' the wrongs...to fix the karmic debt..so we can finally return to him in our Godlike state...pure...love and goodness...
( I may stir up some controversy here by saying this, but, I don't believe, from my studies, that we return to being in his complete presence when we die.) we have to first 'clear' our karmic debt...and when we finally do...living as Jesus did..(he being our example...and the reason why Jesus 'was' the man he was...the intense figure he was...sent to us to 'show' and teach us how to finally 'pay' that debt to finally become the pure beings we once were 'when' we were with our maker before taking on the bodies etc...it is when we finally are clear of all those debts from mistakes that we DO return to 'Him'..that we don't 'have' to come back here any longer.....a mouthful...hope you get my drift.....but, it is something to think about......Jesus was the pattern for us to all follow....no judgments...that can cause 'karmic' debt...clear clean thoughts....they also can cause karmic debt...just a few examples.........( which is now why I understand that when they say 'be thankful for your life and it's issues even though they may seem grim and sad, is because, you can see that it may be paying back a karmic debt...see?

Actually I regret that I posted my question. It was frivolous. I don't believe that God is something separate from his creation. I don't see him as a BEING. I see him as pure love and light. Darkness is the absence of light. Evil then is the absence of love. Not even God can be nothing.
As for your assessment of kharmic debt. You may be onto something there. I have read that what you say is believed by some. I believe that we do have multiple physical lives wherein we learn different lessons. I bet Faye would have some wisdom to share on this topic.
I suspect that you she and I all agree that we are where we need to be and that our needs will be met. NO FEAR is a big issue. TRUST in the divine plan even if you don't understand it. I guess that is called faith by some. Many don't realize the depth and wonder of true faith. It truley is liberating and blissful. Like a child who is amazed by shadows, a dog's bark, EVERYTHING.

It was a hard question to approach...because as you say....he IS all about love ,light, forgiveness. and as for the karma and the faith and trust....I started digging into the karma stuff about 30 years ago ....had taken courses with a 'teacher' who was so amazing....She was a mentor to me for a couple years....
this past year, more than any other time in my life, is when I've been blessed by the Grace of God and have absolute and complete faith in God or God Source or whom ever people wish to call our creator/maker....I have NO doubts about God taking me by my hand this past year...every step of the way...if it weren't for 'his' grace...I don't know where I would be at the moment...
and I do also feel I am exactly where I am suppose to be....when things flow with ease it is a good sign that they are...when there is much chaos and confusion...fear...etc...that usually means a change needs to be made and sometimes those angels and guides are 'trying' to get the message to us but we don't see it...or trust it...or trust it IS them guiding...so the chaos etc continues...(that is where meditation has helped me immensely) when I am in that 'still' place the messages start to come clearly......

| Our God is not willing evil, God’s will is always good but here on earth God’s will is not happening because God has enemies here and he is satan and his allies and in this place they are always distracting God. We people of God our true home is in heaven where there will be no more evil and not here on earth, we are just temporary here. If we are here on earth with evil it is just temporal but of course we have a purpose still and that is love, we must know how to love because someday we will be in the love of God forever.
