| It is very possible that it is him, although this picture was taken maybe 2 years before his death. Time is a very curious thing though and that does not necessarily rule out the fact that this could be him. If there is no time in the afterlife or spiritual realm, if time is only of the physical sense, then perhaps when in this unphysical realm one would be able to traverse the physical timeline in order to protect, watch, guard, or whatever ones mission would be. I hadn't thought of that possibility though and I feel that it could be.
