I know this is going to sound strange and you’re probably end up thinking I’m Looney or begging for attention.  However, neither is true, I am  an Accountant by trade, very analytical and often receive spiritual confirmation of what I’ve witnessed or dreamed.

I’m having dreams involving angels, although today I was wide awake when the experience happened. First and foremost, I’ve had warning dreams since a young child. My mother used to have the same dream as I. Let me share with you some of my history.

(a)My first experience started when I was about 7-8 years old. I used to dream of seeing myself as a young woman lying in my coffin. My mother had this dream for years as well, and would not let me out of her sight.  This dream continued sporadically until I was about 12 years old. My mother would never tell me exactly what she was dreaming until I repeated her dream to her verbatim.  I had spiritual confirmation at a young age that something was going to happen around 24-25 years old.

When I was about 16 years old the previous dream came back only expanded with more information. I dreamed, I was riding in a vehicle with my sister across a very high road and there were children in the car. The next thing we were all in very deep water and there was something frightening behind me. My next vision was lying in my coffin.  This frightening experience continued on and off for about 2 year then stopped.

I realized this experience saved my life, my sister and our children years later.  My sister has always been extremely afraid of heights. In the summer of 1978, I was married and about 22 years old. My father, sister and brothers lived and worked by Lake Don Pedro in California. In order to get to where they lived, you had to cross a very high half moon shaped bridge. The bridge was several hundred feet sheer drop on one side and lake reservoir on the other.

My sister would never drive across the bridge and a family member always had to drive her across. This particular afternoon, my sister insisted on driving her new car into Gardnerville. We loaded up her two year old daughter and my two year old son and 3 month old daughter.   As we approached the bridge, the warning dream from years prior came flooding back. I looked ahead and a Motor home was starting across the bridge as well, toward us. My sister started to speed across the bridge to get to the other side quickly. However, I forced her to slow down and stop on the bridge. Of course she was screaming at me, but did as requested.  Just as the Motor home coming toward us reached the halfway point, the tire blew and ended up in our lane before he could bring his vehicle to a stop.  At my sister’s rate of prior speed, the Motor home would have hit us head on when the tire blew and with the low railings, we in all likelihood would have ended up in the water or ravine. I immediately received spiritual confirmation; this was what my previous dream had been telling me all those years.

I didn’t have any more spiritual dreams until I was about 38 years old. I just returned home from work and it was about 4 pm. My husband was working in the garage. For some strange reason, I was suddenly engulfed with a strong sense of exhaustion and could hardly keep my eyes open.  My husband, Ron, commented on the strangeness of this, as I usually have excess energy. He suggested I was overworking and suggested a short afternoon nap.   I decided to follow his advice and this is what I experienced next.

(b) After barely laying my head upon my pillow. I found myself in a very strange location. There was white all around me, and people in white were sitting and laughing and conversing.  I found myself wearing a white robe as well. A young woman with long brown hair walked up to me,  wearing an the most beautiful iridescent glowing white robe, that was tied at the waist with a beautiful gold cord.  I was very excited to see her. It was if we were long lost friend and I hadn’t seen her in a very long time. We hugged and joked and conversed with each other.  She unrolled a scroll and was showing it to me. I can’t remember what was on it, however, at the time, it appeared I understood and was very excited about what I was reading.  The next thing, I realized she was gone and I was standing by what appeared to be two fountains. One fountain was filled with clear water and very beautiful to look at.  A little ways off, was another fountain, and the water was dirty and murky. There were two people standing by that fountain and they were angry and arguing with another personage in white.  Distinctly, I wanted to remain by the beautiful clear fountain.  In front of the beautiful clear fountain, was a bright, iridescent, glowing, white path.  It was so bright and beautiful; I was instantly drawn to it. I wanted to walk on it; however, I felt confirmation in my spirit not to go near it yet.  The next moment the young woman with long brown hair, was beside me. She took my hand and led me to a beautiful white glowing gate. Looking through the gate was the most beautiful garden, I’ve ever experienced. (The garden was so bright and I sensed rather than saw that there were wonderful people there).  Just inside the gate was a three-tier fountain inside a rounded arch. One could not go into the garden save to pass by the fountain.

The young woman opened the gate, led me in front of the fountain and closed the gate behind me.  Instantly, I was overcome with sorrow and began crying, laying out my sense of unworthiness, my faults and fear of never returning, to the fountain.  Instantly, the fountain came to life, I was showered and saturated with such cool clear water, which smelled sweet beyond explanation. I immediately felt such unimaginable joy.  At this point I woke up.

I’ve often thought about this dream over the years and its symbolism.  I’ve come to the conclusion, the young woman was either my spirit self or a guardian messenger sent from the Lord.  Over the years, I’ve stopped questioning the identity of the young woman. The spirit has confirmed to me the message received was one of support, solace and love for me.  I never dreamed this again.  However, several years later, the same young woman was in another dream.

My next experience came when I was about 45 years old.  One evening I had the following dream.

© I found myself standing beside the beautiful young woman with long brown hair again. Once again she was dressed in an iridescent white glowing robe, tied with a beautiful gold cord at the waist.  This time she led me down a very long dark hallway, almost like a tunnel.  I remember walking down the tunnel behind her very fast. I wanted to stay away from the walls of the tunnel. They were dark and I had the impression there were faces or people there.  The walls frightened me.  I found myself in a beautiful meadow. There were people standing around in excited anticipation. It was as if they were going somewhere and couldn’t wait to start the journey.  There was a group of people gathered around a personage sitting on a boulder, close by. I was immediately drawn to the personage. However, I was unable to look at the person. Something stopped me from being able to really focus in on the group and the personage. I remember the people starting to leave and I felt such a longing to go with them.

Instantly, the young woman was beside me again. She led me to another woman and stated cold times were coming and to dress me warmly.  I remember being dressed in a very warm long sleeved gown. I felt so safe and secure.  At this point, I woke up.  Through prayerful reflection, I’ve come to realize this was a warning of events, trials and tribulations to come. The next few years were physically, financially and spiritually trying. There were times when I felt I was physically fighting off the Adversary.  Looking back in retrospect, I believe the dream was symbolic of “Putting on the Armor of God” against what was to come.

I am now 54 years old and only recently have I begun experiencing dreams and what I would now term as “visions”.  My parents and brother died five years ago, and my husband died 13 months ago.  Our family pet of 14 years died 3 months prior to my husband.

(d) About a month ago, I had a dream; I was getting ready to go somewhere and was outside standing by my car. My deceased dog, Jake, was standing by the fence looking at me. I was pleased to see him, and opened the back of my car, and called him to get in. He just stood there looking at me whimpering.  It was if he wanted to get in, but, was physically being restrained. At this point, I woke up. I still haven’t figured the meaning of this dream; but, felt it was worth mentioning.

The experiences are starting up again. This is the most frightening thing I’ve ever experienced and it happened last week.

(e) It was late Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.  I dreamed I was driving my mother. My mother has been dead five years. However, in the dream she was alive and wanted to go to this specific church revival event to hear the preaching. The greatly confused me, as my mother didn’t go to revivals when she was alive. Additionally, I was gravely worried, as my mother appeared very weak and frail, almost to the point of death.  I remember entering the church building with my mother leaning against me heavily. I remember seeing three church ladies sitting at a table handing out tickets to the guest for the event.  I also remember a funeral and funeral home next to the church holding a funeral service and cremation.  Upon seeing these events, I refused to take my mother any further and insisted she return to my vehicle. I couldn’t understand why this church would be holding revival at the same time as a funeral; and wanted no part of it. When my mother sat in my vehicle she fainted away as if dead. I immediately went looking for help. Upon returning to my vehicle, my mother had vanished.  I searched for what appeared to be days looking for my mother. I didn’t want to tell my siblings that I had lost my mother.

Full of remorse, I finally approached my sister to explain what had happened. However, before I could begin, I found myself standing inside the church again at the table with the three ladies.  I described my mother and asked them if they had seen her. They stated, yes, she had gone out the side door to have a cigarette. I was taken aback by this, as my mother never smoked.  However, I went out the side door in hopes of locating her.  I found myself in and empty field with desert bushes and garbage everywhere. Close by were run down housing, I walked over to check for her there, to no avail.

Next, I found myself flying low through town looking for my mother. It was if I were of the world, but not in the world. I was flying quickly through crowds of people. They were walking, talking, laughing and going about their daily business.  It was if I were not part of the worldly goings on; but on a mission to find my mother.  I quickly found myself back at the church. Upon entering, a kindly old man, walked up to me warning me not to trust what the three “church ladies” said. He stated, “These women are church gossips and troublemakers; don’t believe what they tell you.”  I felt an instant confirmation of the spirit; the old man’s warning was truthful and thanked him for his concern and help.  I walked up to the women and stated the where they had sent me was incorrect, there was no evidence my mother was anywhere around.  One woman stated, I had gone out the wrong door, and my mother had gone out the door directly across from them down the short hallway. I walked down the short hallway, out the door and found myself in another desolate, desert field. I looked completely around me. There was nothing except open fields.  I also noticed a road running between the fields.

I began looking around for my mother, and noticed across the road at the far end of the field a pack of wild dogs attacking something on the ground. I began walking toward the dogs with an immense sense of foreboding and fear. It was at this point, I woke up. Although, this frightening dream stayed with me most of the day, after prayerful reflection, I realize it was basically symbolic warning me of pending difficulties.

Here is where “visions” have started.

(f) Friday morning, just as I was waking up, I looked above me. There was a face smiling down at me. It was a young woman with short curly blond hair around her face. I had the impression she had been there for a while. As I abruptly looked at the vision, she immediately disappeared.

 (g) Saturday, I was going about my business, cleaning the house, paying bills, running errands, buying groceries.  About 3 pm, after vacuuming the living room; I was standing there deciding what to do next, when a personage walked quickly around me. It appeared to be a young woman with blonde hair, dressed in white.  For a moment, I thought “was that a ghost”; however, I instantly received confirmation “angel.”

I haven’t had time to process this yet. However, I am beginning to feel as if there is protection around me for some reason.

I know what is printed here may sound outlandish to some. However, upon my word, everything stated here is truthful.

WOW Therese....amazing stuff !!! I have a book which taps into dreams a bit...what to focus on etc...when trying to make clear our dreams...I will find it today and give you that info....I'm not great with dreams...but, can send you a bit of help with them....the coffins do not mean death of you ...but a death or end to something....when we dream of being in a car or vehicle it us regarding our bodies...when we dream of being in a house or home with many floors it is about our spiritual self...different levels of consciousness ...or higher self....and we can also have dreams which come back again and again as a past life memory. I've had a dream of being swallowed up by a huge wave....so, it could be many things since I was standing and seeing this coming through a window...it could even be a memory of being in Atlantis as it was swallowed up by water...
one thing to do is to tell your higher self before falling asleep you want to wake remembering your dreams...and DO keep a journal beside your bed and when you wake DO NOT MOVE...just stay still and your dreams will come to the surface...when we move it changes our minds ability to recall them...somehow it messes it up ......plainly put...LOL....
so, I will look and see if that book has any insight to this for you.. I'm getting that you need to keep those dreams down on paper....highlight the similarities in each one...see what comes or pops out at you, and continue this process. ??? You never know what will come to you, this is how they are guiding you with your questions. so, ask them for help before sleep as well as your 'higher' self...when we give our higher self permission to do these things it will guide and help us as well...?
please keep us posted on your progress, this may be of help to others in here that have questions about their dreams as well?
good luck...talk soon......dee
P.s. There IS always protection around you...always....and your story does not sound outlandish at all !!! I believe 100% you are telling the truth...

You have the gift of writing too, Therese. I say do keep a journal like Dee suggested and perhaps you can put together words that would one day be very helpful for those who are on their spiritual journey.

Welcome to the forums, by the way. :)

hi Theresa, I truly believe in what you say and, as Faye says, yo do have the gift of writing!
It's been uplifting to read about your experiences.
If you want to read a book of a friend of mine about how some angels appeared to him in "a glorified body", please see my post "A.D.A.M.A." in this same thread. I know him enough to assure you that what he says is true.
many blessings...

Theresa you wrote this at the beginning of your posting.

I believe what you wrote. I'd like to assure you that you are not looney. Nor are you alone. Personally I have come to a place in my where I accept things as they present themselves to me without fear. I can relate to the seemingly incongrous fact that you are an accountant by trade and yet you have otherworldly experiences. Your logical mind is part of you. Luckily you listen to your heart as well.

Definately NOT outlandish! :)

On the contrary... very interesting - if not to say 'fascinating'! I wish more people were as open-minded (open-hearted) as you are...
