Hi, I have just joined, I live in Australia and I am getting back in touch with my spiritual side after spending 12 years with a partner who called my beliefs 'superstitious rubbish'.
A friend helped me open up about a year and a half ago and since then I have learned and seen many things, and I hope to learn and see many more.
My interests are crystals, energy healing and of course the angelic realm. My main Archangels are Michael, Raphael and Ariel, I also often talk to Quan Yin.
I hope to begin to study Reiki in the next couple of months.
I look forward to meeting you all and sharing some experiences with you.

Who is Quan Yin?
Sounds like you've got lots of energy.
If the weather outside my window is any indication of how the Earth's axis determines winter in the northern hemisphere then I'll tell you that you ought to be enjoying a balmy day. YUP today is a wintery one in the middle of North America.
welcome and don't forget to put on some sun screen. Don't want any sun burned Aussies.

Haha, thanks Roka!
I had Quan Yin first introduced to me as an Eastern counterpart to Mother Mary... she is the goddess of compassion. To me she is pink and wise and very comforting to have around

Nice explanation!  I see Quan Yin as pale blue with some pink mixed in something, and yes, very comforting but also very, very gentle.

| I have downloaded the forms, contacted the teacher, I just have to make sure I can spare the money. But this year I will do it, even if I have to save up for a bit. It is one of the things I am looking forward to this year

just one thing Elcarim.....make sure you check around...there are some people out there who are getting down right outrageous with their fees....EGO again.....I've never done an Attunement absently though I hear it can be done...just as absent healing ....but, I don't think it is actually a great way to 'receive' an attunement ...but, there are many reiki teachers out there....just, for your own benefit, make sure you feel good about who that person is...AND you can also write to the Center for Reiki Training to find a 'reputable' Teacher in your area......Are you doing the Usui Reiki? Have you done any reading about Mr. Rand? and the center?
I guess I'm being a 'mother' hen here....I've seen people get really 'screwed' in the past...sorry not a nice word to use I know....just be safe....ask for guidance.....and I'll throw out some prayers as well.

The lady I was going to go with... well, I just got a feeling about her and decided not to go to her. The lady who owns my favourite crystal and new age shop is a Reiki master, so I am going to ask who she recommends.
I bought a book called 'The Healer's Handbook' which has info on all sorts of healing methods. The stuff on herbs really interested me. Then at work we had a book returned on herbs and their uses... the only one in the store. I think I will have to buy that and see what happens.
I still want to do energy healing though.

| Elcarim, did you know that Catherine Bird has an education as an equine herbalist? Perhaps that was something for you to look into - she is great! My Californian Reiki Master friend is a student of Catherine's atm.

hey again Elcarim,
sounds as if the herbs is the thing for you.....and...the energy work will come to you when it is meant to...ask that God Source of ours to put things in your path as they are meant to come and they will come as planned....I'm quite sure the energy work IS in your future...
OMG...I have that healers handbook...got it at barnes/noble on a clearance rack...it's a great book........now, practice this.......ooh...think someones telling me to mention to you about Tai Chi.....if you got a cd as I have, and as soon as you start the first pose...you will be 'amazed' at the energy you will feel flow through your hands...it's so cool really...seems to maybe be a place for you to start...easily done in your own home when you have a spare 15 minutes a day....
just throwing these things out there...they seem to be coming through for you at record speed.......
think about it ...ask that question before you go to sleep ...see what comes ???? (let me know?)

Namaste Elcarim!
The archangels you have mentioned are the very first archangels I've worked with - Ariel, Michael and Raphael. Then came the others Myzurkiel, Gabriel, Zadkiel, Chamuel, Metatron, Michek, Uriel, Galadriel,... The list goes on and on.
I've been attuned to master reiki, but had not been practicing. Though I am sure when I work with energy when praying the attunements work the same.
