I found this forum while looking up the meaning of animal symbols. I am highly sensitive and on a spiritual journey, at the moment it's taking the shape of a healing journey. I have been depleted and quite wounded recently. The positive side of that is that it has been an awakening for me. The negative side is that I am still very much like a wounded bird feeling often like I am drawing my last breath. I feel my soul is still residing in an evil being and I can't retrieve it from him. It was partially trickstered out of me, and partially I naively, yet willingly gave it away. I know I can heal. I have done it before. Never before has it been this devastating (yet possibly rejuvenating) for me.
I have been drawn to angels my whole life, as far as I can remember. I don't have much of a religious background, so I am not knowledgable on the angels and their names and functions. It's something I have been drawn to learn about recently due to my journey. All I know is that angels are there for me. I paint them and I see them and when I am most in need, angel visions come to me. I have been rather like an infant in my knowledge of how to deal with this though. I get the feeling that the good spirits on this forum would be able to help me understand more when it comes to angels.
I'm also in tune very much to energy fields, am highly empathic and sensitive. I've experienced this mainly as painful in my life and would like to learn how to gain strength from it and have some control over it.
I think that's probably enough of an introduction for now. I'm happy to have found this forum

So glad you decided to say hello. Sounds to me that you are on your way to where ever you are going.
I learned a lot from Dr. Doreen Virtue. I am rereading some of her books at this point in my journey. I am discovering things this time around that did not make sense to me the first time. ANNYYway I am rereading "Angels 101" and "Divine Guidance".
Welcome and thanks for telling us how you found this place. It is a question I have asked myself and others here. I think this place finds us we don't find it.

( I see that I never logged out the last time I was here, so it looks as if I've been on here for days!) sorry about that people.....comes with old age I guess!
saffron.....I wouldn't worry about the soul being gone....they don't leave the body until we pass over hon......no one but God himself could ever make that happen. OR were you speaking metaphorically? ...as far as a religious background goes....I grew up Catholic and never learned about angels through the church...but..as paul has said, Doreen Virtue is one of the best authors out there on the subject...I've read a few of her books and she is VERY informative...about making a connection to them and learning how to 'see' the guidance, hear it, learning to 'see' them ...and even more important is how to 'know' when it is them giving us guidance and when our 'ego' or wishful thinking is what we are seeing......they are there for everyone's help...they will step in and 'guide'...they cannot, however, DO for us...and have read a lot lately on how if we ask them to 'do' our work for us instead of 'guide' us it can actually cause them to step back away from us...so, find all the books you can and get to reading!!! Her stuff is easy and quick to read...she gives SO much on the subject!!! You will, if you wish to, come to a point of asking them into your life on a daily basis and they do guide the choices you make...sort of make you think before you speak or act...a feeling of peace comes over you knowing they are right there with you always, you never feel as if you are going through life alone. They have guided me through many many life choices and I always remember to thank them all for all the love and support they give me. also as paul said, Divine Guidance is a great book...
If it is knowledge of angels you seek you have come to the right place in this forum...this website has more info and they also give angel readings here as well....
when you say you don't know how to deal with the visions what is it you need to deal with exactly?
and how do you mean being sensitive and being an empathetic is painful? I understand the empathetic being painful emotionally...feeling others emotional pain...but I'm not clear as to what you need help with???? everyone here will help in any way they can....

| Acwk Dee! You are so right about being empathic! This has been a problem of mine too! But I'm working on it. It's a lot about setting boundaries and really surrounding yourself not just with pink bubbles and all that, but also with positive and loving people. =D
