Hi,
About 4 months ago I had this unusual dream which felt more like a vision. In the dream I was in a salt water lagoon playing with a large pod of dolphins. We were frolicking and diving, just having a fun time.
Right before my eyes all of the dolphins turned into mermaids, mermen and merchildren. One of the mermen swam right up to me and said "oh no Julie, you are not hallucinating. We are real, we do exist and we disguise ourselves as dolphins". He then splashed me with water and swam off.
The merpeople called out to me and asked me to play with them so all of us were swimming and frolicking with one another, playing hide and seek in the water. It was so much fun. I then turned to them and said "I have to go now, I have a party to go to". So a few of them asked if they could go with me. I said, "The party is on dry land and you don't have legs". About 10 of them smiled at me and then they came walking out of the lagoon.
I was shocked and they all smiled and laughed at my reaction. So we all went to party together. It was one wild dream/vision.
Yesterday I was reading the book "Angel Medicine" by Doreen Virtue. In the book Doreen states that Mermaids, Mermen and Merchildren existed, they were REAL and that they consciously chose to become extinct because they were tired of the cruel treatment they received by mariners. However, the merpeople chose to evolve and return to earth as dolphins.
When I read that I remembered my dream/vision from 4 months ago. How amazing that I had a dream about that very subject. Cool huh?

thats bizarre hunny I did think there was a connection but wasnt thinking that!!!!!
they aparently come from sirius on orions belt oh oh Im having De Ja Vu it came up for me in the Diana Cooper Atlantis meditation

I do believe in merpeople.
From my home country a lot of us still believe they exist. There are still who claim to have sightings. Since we are a coastal land, a lot of Filipinos are fishermen. And there have been lots of cases wherein these fishermen get weird stuff happening to their bodies - they accidentally hit merpeople with spears or whatever and of course they do not know...
So they go to healers and realize what they have done. And make offerings and apology to these wonderful creatures who in turn forgives them.
Hmm...
Now that I tell this story, maybe I should write a story.
I do think they still take their original form.
And I love dolphins too. I am pretty sure I will swim with some one day. Water is my home.

This is really interesting to read about. I just bought Doreen Virtue's Magical Mermaids and Dolphins oracle deck. It's wonderful. You can feel the ocean energy coming from the deck.
I was reading about Celtic Reiki, the last symbol is supposed to be the power of the sea. I thought I'd also add there are a couple of different types of Dolphin reiki. (If anyone wants some links I'll put them up.) Anyway, the deck got me thinking about these different reiki energies. Then I came here and read Julie's post.
Faye, I loved hearing about your home country, how they believe in merfolk.

Hey Redbird,
I have that same deck of cards. Aren't the pictures absolutely magical? I too feel the energy of the ocean when I use that deck.
I bought that deck right after I had my dolphin/merpeople dream. It really inspired me.
It is my plan within the next 12 months to fly to Hawaii and swim with wild dolphins. I know it will be a life changing experience.
