I had a dream last night, I heard a little girl calling for help, did not know this little girl, she was 4 or 5 yrs old. And the love of my life that died just after Christmas was off in the distance calling my name, and I could not move in any direction. It was so real, like I was actually living it.
Then after I got back to sleep, I dreamt that him and I were walking, holding hands, loving and kissing, and just enjoying each other, like he was still here with me.
Can anyone help me figure this out?

I'm not an expert but I believe the little girl was YOU! You said that you had lost the love of your life and that he was in the distance calling your name, but you could not move. I think maybe you were still so devastated from losing him that you were vulnerable and feeling lost without him. I believe that him calling to you and then later you were walking with him and kissing and holding hands etc., was him trying to help you heal.
I had a similar dream a long time ago..........I had not lost a loved one, but I had lost "myself"! I was really going down a wrong path in life and I was at a crossroads.............I dreamed of a little girl and she would not have anything to do with me, and she would look at me with a very sad expression..........after some counsling, I came to realize the little girl in my dream, was me. I believe it was the "little girl" in me, being upset with choices I had made in my life and trying to get through to me to take a different path. It was very disturbing, but opened my eyes.
I hope this helps.................

Thanks for the reply. I have been wondering what others think of this dream. It has had me puzzled.
I am not sure if you are right or not, but will keep it in mind.

I think I agree with Vikki. The little girl is you. Most of my dreams that deal with a little girl generally seem to refer to the innocent, fragile part of my being. If I'd lost someone I'd loved, I would be devastated. I would feel as helpless as a small child - similar to the way a 4 or 5 year old is helpless. Deep down inside you may feel a need for help that has not surfaced to your conscious mind yet.
I believe that our loved ones help us here on earth if we need it. Perhaps your loved one, sees your pain & suffering (which can paralyze) and wants to help you process your grief. Maybe he was offering the only kind of comfort he can give now - in dreams. The walking, holding hands, loving, kissing, & enjoying each other sounds so beautiful! What a wonderful reminder of all that you had with him.
Okay, so much for my dream interpretation.
May God bless you with His peace and comfort!

I am going to go with Vikki on this one too. Though Shelly makes a very strong point, the subconscious turns grief into relief through our dreams. My father told me of a dream he had right after my grandfather passed and it was very similar to yours. He was completely crushed after his father's passing and it helped him through the difficult time. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. All the answers will be revealed in time, hang in there. I will pray for you.

| I agree with Vikki, too. Didn't see it at first read, but upon first response immediately agreed with it. You are the little girl. My addition to the conversation at this late date is a simple reflection on the fact of not being able to move within your dream. Again, this amplifies the response of others that your prior choices have seemingly hindered you. This is why you cannot move. Past events have influenced the present and the future. What can you draw from this? History is history (past)--new choices can and will change the present and the future. It is the nature of time and space within the life of this world. On a second note, with the dream reference to Christmas in mind, Christ's birthday symbolizes his sacrifice for our past. He has paid the price. We just need to echo the message through our actions. remember: you are 4 or 5 in the dream; you are are a child of Christ under His protection. he has paid the price and will pay it again. He loves you. Out of the arms of this love, He prays that you find youself. Amen.
