I am truly blessed to have met you wonderful people here. I would have not known how wonderful it is to have been given gifts if it weren't for everyone here.
And even though I still am at the process of fully understanding and accepting these gifts, and the road is still long ahead of me, I truly am grateful. For in this forum I found my sanctuary and source of inspirations. The acceptance and respect I experienced here is truly remarkable. I no longer feel alone now, and even though we are all miles away from each other, I am blessed because I know everyone prays for everyone in this forum. That in some magical way, I am truly guided by true friends whom I haven't even met personally.
I understand now... About sending prayers and mind connection and having "feelings" or "thoughts" about someone far away or even a stranger. There is only one force that would enable us to do that, and that is Love.
This forum has taught me that. I knew about it but never understood the force or strength of that power. Love is all there was, there is and ever will be.
So again, thank you everyone! With my whole heart... Thank you soooo much!Last edited on Mon Jul 21st, 2008 03:33 am by Faye

Question again:
What does it mean to be free? How does one become truly free? What does it take to have this freedom?
Freedom to be our own selves and express ourselves, to be able to speak and feel freely...

I think being free is to be free of judgement.Do not judge the homeless man on the street and think he is there because of drugs or alcohol.Talk to strangers you meet in the store or on a bus. They may become the best friends you will ever have.Freedom is not being afraid to do something few other people would do.Freedom is not caring what others think about that.Life is short and we should be allowed to live it anyway we want regardless of what others think.Noone is perfect and we all do things that may make others uncomfortable or make them judge us.I think if the people in this world were more open to communication without judgement we would all learn alot more and maybe be more accepting. For example suppose every day you go to work and on the way you see a man in a dress with purple hair.First you may laugh then think he is nuts then when asked about it he may tell you the whole story and it may make sense.Ok that was just an example but believe freedom is not judging people and in turn not being judged.I dont know what stsrted me on this.Anyway god bless.

Oh boy, I have been blessed since I came back to the forum! My two favorite subjects. First I get to talk about democracy on another thread, now I see this one about freedom. Oh wow!
To be free, first we must know who we are, to know what are our needs, beliefs, values, limits, desires, choices, feelings and thoughts. To know these things stand apart from those of others and to be able to express these as belonging to us. To know these things that belong to others, as their choices and feelings, belong to them. To not confuse these parts of who we are with others. To understand our equality in that we are not required to subordinate these things to others, and that others are not required to do the same for us.
I have found that personally to be a good solid start. That is individual freedom. Then there is societal freedom, and I believe it is best to have both– to live in a free society where we may express our individual freedom.

To be free is to be happy with who you are and not afraid. To be able to do something without worry or cares of what others may think....Not being afaid to be different and expressing your opinions but listening to others.Daring to be different and loving who and what you stand for...Loving yourself...

well....I guess for me it is that I have peace in my heart and soul.....I know who I am...I know what I want...and where to get it........I know I'm on the right path....and I know whenever I stumble I will get up with the help of that holy realm that guides me...I'm looking forward to the future for the first time in my life really...relationships that aren't good for me ...well...it's ok because I know in time they will be healed...what else? I'm sure there is more on my list....but I think I get my point across....Freedom for me is living with the knowledge I have and the peace it's given me....I'm more at peace in this chaotic world than I've ever been in my life...the things that aren't working for me,,,,well it's ok too because I know 'why' they're not working for me...and that's ok too........I guess that's it....It is what it is..and that's ok...I guess that in itself is true peace...so for me my peace IS my Freedom....OR...Freedom gives me peace? I guess it works both ways.
It's a nice place to be...
now....what other topics can we share???? Come on folks.....I'm sure there are some things we can all share ....questions? Wonders about something?
Lets all get creative...Good books? good cd's.....any new things going on in your journey's....meditation? Classes? what's going on in your life that is exciting?
lets think on it? shall we?
love ya all.......deeLast edited on Wed Oct 29th, 2008 11:42 pm by dee

To love oneself.. To live in the internal world or the external...
Well in the concept of loving oneself, it really is just as simple as that. Do you have no guilt? Are you always trying as hard as you can to be all you can and do all you can? I can be honest when I say I am completely in love with myself. I love all I am and truly do think I am amazing.
Problems arise with this though. The first one I encountered, and it's the one that shows itself most easily, is how others react to this self-confidence. I guess one learns modesty at this point? The next major problem comes confusion. When one loves them self, it just doesn't make sense when others don't. I guess this happens because we are all different, and just because one loves who they are, doesn't mean others are going to? Maybe they just don't perceive you/me to be the same person you/I do?
This leads me to the question of the importance of external verification. Internally, one can love them self and think they are great.. But how true is this? Is it true just because they believe it? How about everyone else? Can one keep them selves company? How does one solve the problem of being lonely? I am not asking these questions in an attempt to bring anyone down, or to display the importance of loving yourself... But I am asking them simply because I do not know the answers. I love me, and who I am. I think I am great and amazing and perfect just the way I am... Yet, I very oftentimes feel completely alone and miserable, even when not alone, the feeling remains.
To completely live in the internal world = to live in your imagination. Here it doesn't matter at all what others think, because they might as well not exist... But how healthy is this? Where is the balance? Is there even one? The universe exists both inside and outside, but which is the one that we should pay attention to?
I appologize for all of this. I am just feeling rather alone right now. I saw the question about loving yourself and related quite well, as I just learned to truly love myself less than a year ago. I think I am just rambling my thoughts more than anything as I feel, well, nothing, right now.
Well, love and light to everyone. <3's

Goodness Multi
Don't appologize for speaking your mind....don't ever worry about speaking your mind....
To love yourself is what freedom is for you? great....I think it's wonderful that you feel you are great and amazing and perfect just the way you are..........that is great freedom! We should all be at that place of peace with our selves. Owning our power is hard for us to do...we don't feel worthy most of the time....therefore our power goes unnoticed and not used to it's full potential....
so, you are free in some ways but not in others? Loneliness is a rough road....I am in a home full of people and I still feel quite alone at times...but not in the spiritual sense...there are so many times I wish I 'were' alone. Then I could really be and do the things I want to without disruption...hell I can't even meditate with out being disturbed....frustrating.
New Orleans...great part of the country....and you are alone you say? Are there no people to share with there these things you know? Some where? Dig deep...find them? I can see how this aloneness bothers you deeply. Self confidence isn't a sin hon......Try not to let others hurt you. they are ignorant to who you really are...Be true to your abilities....As much as someone won't admit they may have interest in who you are and what you can do they may just be scared to show it....you may have lit a spark in someone you don't even know about at the moment. Always be an advocate for yourself...for God....for what he gave us ...knowledge for one thing.
Ask guides angels Masters to help you find those who are like minded. If you ask they WILL help you!
I did......I've found some amazing people close by ...because my "Master/Teacher" lives a couple hours from me.....I found someone 20 minutes drive away.....A master as well..who holds weekly reiki share etc...those guides of mine answered my quest. Please let them guide you....having that connection and those guides are there for every aspect of your life....not just a spiritual quest...for many many things....open that line of communication...LET them work for you....that is the reason we have them after all.
I need to leave for the day........I'll be back later....but, I feel we need to discuss this further? You ARE amazing multi.....so so amazing....don't go through this world alone...you don't need to....Pay attention to both......work with both....being in this world and not of it is a very hard road but it really is our only choice right? Make the most of it........you're a lightworker multi...
I hope you will find the freedom I have found..It is SO liberating! On the outside I can be lonely to....but at the same time I am quite FREE
much love dee
