My friend Debbie (anyone remember Koda?) has been trying to start a horse rescue and recently got a job at the local Humane Shelter. Today she was fired. A family next door to where we board had a horse for sale (the girl said she was pregnant and needed to sell so she could move out before her parents found out). We tried to be friendly and give hints for his care, offered to help, etc. but as time went on things got worse for him. The Shelter was called, and finally the county sherriff, because he was alone, not being fed or watered (I've seen his water GREEN). I had taken several people to meet them who wanted to buy the horse, but the price was way to high, and they wouldn't come down, and wouldn't let him into a pasture that they had for him - only keeping him on a dry lot.
I don't have any idea WHAT they are doing, or saying, but my friend lost her job, so it must be serious.
Please surround the entire situation will you? Also the horse. They moved him somewhere. I moved my horse because I didn't think she was safe there with these people acting like this right next door.

I pray for your frend! I pray she get s to wrook with animal again, or anything she likes.

Hey Raylaj,
We had 3 morgan horses growing up.We showed the 2 males.My dad referred to them as the team.I loved the shows and getting ready for them To this day I love the smell of leather.It reminds me of growing up on a beautiful estate.My sister until recently was boarding the granddaughter of Secratariate.You know the famous race horse.She was born with a perferated ulcer and was going to be allowed to die.A women who worked there would not let that happen.She nursed her back to health and my sister and her friend adopted her.Her name is Lulu.My nephew named her when he was 2.I have seen on animal planet how people neglect and abuse animals.Makes me want to cry at times.If it is ever possible I want to own a horse and 3 dogs.I want a shepard and a rottweiller and a collie.Its how I grew up.I pray things get better for your friend.
