I was praying today because I felt so hopeless.  I was worn out of praying for the same things..I asked for some kind of a sign to keep going.. I then found a small St. Jude medal which I hadn't seen in a long time..I found a prayer to St. Jude, which I think many people need because they have grown weary of asking for the same thing, or seem to be in a hopeless situation..I feel that I am supposed to pass this on..

Prayer to St. Jude

Blessed apostle St. Jude, faithful friend and servant of Jesus, patron of difficult and desperate cases, pray for me, make use of the special privileges given you to give speedy and visible help when all hope is gone.  Come to my aid in my great need so I may receive the heavenly consolation and help in all my needs, especially (make petition) so that I may praise the Lord always.

Amen

St. Jude........have always asked this one for help....many many times indeed.....the power of prayer is incredible...and I know it's hard to keep asking for the same things.....maybe these things aren't meant to be? Or maybe we need to ask in a different way?
I know this must be very hard on you Maureen...and I'm so sorry...will keep you in my prayers and hope it works out for you soon. I sometimes have to believe things will change when they are meant to....and God knows what's best and when it's best....? frustrating isn't it?
there's got to be a reason hon.....did you have that reading done? wondering how it went if you did and if the house was brought up in the reading? hoping you received some insight to the situation?
love Dee

I know that sometimes we ask for things that are not good for us.  This has happened to me many times.  You can only pray for God's will.

I have been blessed with a great life.  I thank God for that.

Thanks for all your wisdom.

Try this site.  I have been praying to St. Jude for 3 "hopeless cases"..   Today I learned that my prayers have been answered for one of them.                            I will admit that another one of my "hopeless cases" is this house selling. We are having an "open house" today.  Let's see what happens.  I'm excited!

St. Jude, known as Thaddaeus, was a brother of St. James the Less, and a relative of Our Saviour. St. Jude was one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus.

Ancient writers tell us that he preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Idumaea, Syria, Mesopotamia, and Lybia. According to Eusebius, he returned to Jerusalem in the year 62, and assisted at the election of his brother, St. Simeon, as Bishop of Jerusalem.

He is an author of an epistle (letter) to the Churches of the East, particularly the Jewish converts, directed against the heresies of the Simonians, Nicolaites, and Gnostics. This Apostle is said to have suffered martyrdom in Armenia, which was then subject to Persia. The final conversion of the Armenian nation to Christianity did not take place until the third century of our era.

Jude was the one who asked Jesus at the Last Supper why He would not manifest Himself to the whole world after His resurrection. Little else is known of his life. Legend claims that he visited Beirut and Edessa; possibly martyred with St. Simon in Persia.

Jude is invoked in desperate situations because his New Testament letter stresses that the faithful should persevere in the environment of harsh, difficult circumstances, just as their forefathers had done before them. Therefore, he is the patron saint of desperate cases and his feast day is October 28. Saint Jude is not the same person as Judas Iscariot who betrayed Our Lord and despaired because of his great sin and lack of trust in God's mercy.

This is what it written on the Cathloic web site about St Jude.

I can't remember alot of detail myself, about him.

Based on my expereince I trust this Saint.

This is Wikipedia about St. jude

Saint Jude was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He is generally identified with Thaddeus, and is also variously called Jude of James, Jude Thaddaeus , Judas Thaddaeus or Lebbaeus. He is sometimes identified with Jude, brother of Jesus, but is clearly distinguished from Judas Iscariot, another disciple and later the betrayer of Jesus.
The Armenian Apostolic Church honours Thaddeus along with Saint Bartholomew as its patron saints. In the Roman Catholic Church he is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes.
Saint Jude's attribute is a club. He is also often shown in icons with a flame around his head. This represents his presence at Pentecost, when he received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles. Occasionally he is represented holding an axe or halberd, as he was brought to death by one of these weapons. In some instances he may be shown with a scroll or a book (the Epistle of Jude) or holding a carpenter's rule.
