Hello, Everybody I could use your help and prayers.
I have a problem here on my front with the Rules of My apt building it is owned by HUD, and they are so Strict now on cleaning. I live her for the first 2 years. I got written up once went I first got here. Now every 3 months they inspect our apts. I tried for days to make this place better. It was already ok. Then now after inspection I got written up again.
See I feel I have my apt the exact same as I did last time I passed and it's not good.
So what can I do? I feel defeated here. MY brain disease makes it hard to keep my aide because my disorder looks high functioning, but even when i do have an aide i don't pass.
I don't know what to do. What my rights are as a human trying to keeep a place over my head. I'm not sure. I'm abou to just terminate my lease and be homeless for 2 months to save up money. My Nerologist says stress is bad and can make me sicker.
So obiuviously being homeless is alot of stress.
However you know how they say " LET go LEt God". sometimes I think if i let go of this place something will come up. I need to be not paying to much rent for 2 months and I can saave enough money to move into another place.
Ok well thanks for listening.

TAlk to your social worker if you have one.They can arrange for someone to come in and help you clean things up on a regular basis.Where do you live?
We have 211 info line here.You may want to try something like that.Good luck and my prayers are with you.Remember you have alot of rights as a person on disability.They can not just throw you out on the street.If you cant advocate for your self find someone who can.I wish I was closer so I could help.I would give them something to think about.

P.S. It makes me so mad when these state officals think they can push people around because they are disabled.Its sick and it has to stop.They dont think we know anything to be able to defend our selves.I know alot of stuff and if I can help please let me know.I would love to see these people eat crow.

HEllo Ellie,
What is Gift of the Creator you are for just empathizing with my situation.
You see the problem I'm having is my Disease Which they have no name for. They say its a genetic brain disease. The meds they gave are an anti depressant, and something like Risperal.
They have had me on all the meds, but they made me so sick. Plus they didn't solve the issues of my brain damge. THe nurse of my Mental health program total me to go off them!
Now, I've been off of them for 8 months and I am fine.
I have at least 10 people I know That I could make a letter and have them sign it saying how much better I am now that I don't take meds.
Ok this problem relates to the Aide because they say I need to be on Meds to recieve their services.
However the brain disease is still there. And my lack of attention to detail is in my cleaning.
However even with my aide I have not passed. If you cleaning help doesn't help you pass what can you do? HA, ha..
The thing that upsets me is every 3 months I got thru this and in the end all I have to help me is my MOM! LOL. All these agencies to live indpendantly. And I got to use my MOM. I'm 36 I want to be indepandant, and understood here.
I wish the people that own this apt would tell me what they look for when inspecting.
Because went I do finially pass on the second inspection it seems I have my apt the same way for months.
But then I don't pass again,.

I'm sending reiki to your situation hon........there has to be some way to fix this issue! they cannot throw you out on the street....You do have the law on your side....remember that! Trust me when I tell you it is very difficult to 'evict' someone...even when they are in the wrong! no one is kicking you out of there if I have any say in it.....we will find a way out of this mess Julia...promise.

I found something called P.A. protection and advocacy inc.The address is 1414 cameron st Harrisburg P.A. 17103.The phone# is 717 236 8110.What are these people specificaly telling you you need to clean up or change.They need to give you some idea.The lady who gave me my dog (and now wants him back by the way) is having a big fight with her condo assc.They are telling her because they paid 30 grand to help fix her condo she cant have her dog back there.She owns the condo and she says they keep changing the locks all the time.She is also on disability.They helped her fix it because of a fire.She let her insurance laps.I have been helping her all I can.I wish you luck.Keep your chin up.My dad used to have a saying.Dont let the bastards get you down he always said and I kind of live by that.

HEy IF any of you can during this week
Can ONe or MORE of you light and CAndle a say I pray reguarding this place where in live.
A white candle is Good, And just say A pray to God, Jesus, and/OR The Goddess or whatever you pray to that it will get better.
I need somebody to do this..If some can put the name STINSON Towers under the candle as it burns, if you feel safe, go for it.
Other wise just light a candle and pray with me please.

Ok sisters and bros! HEre goes what been a happening.
One: I passed inspection--Yippie!
TWo: I got asked to do the art class at Stinson finially! They will pay for my supplies!
Three: I had a no bones about it talk with Monica the Manager here. She is stricter than that last manager.
Here's what sucks:
She says I can't have two keyboards for music...you know synths.
She won't even let me store my instruments here to use one at a time!
The silly stupid thing is who do the ask to to the dj gig here? ME! And they won't let me store my gear here! So I sold it!
I have a pair of turntable over a friends house. That is the last of my Dj equipment.
I don't watch TV and smoke cigs till I drop! I don't drink alochol and roam the halways looking for a cig!
I have low wattage bulbs in my house. I buy springwater, and I give food and clothing to people. I don't borrow money and i pay my rent on time! I am a GOOD.
NOw IF I julia,,Rayla JUlia is to be happy. I got to find a place that will let me do me music. I have my equipment but I only use one at a time, and never for longer than a 30mins.
I live independantly in my own aptment, I should be allowed to store my equipment! NOt depend on my family!
So an employee here is going to talk with Monica about the rules again on my behalf. Because truelly can have my lifestyle. Why am I here?
What a bummper I have to move..So i praying now to find the courage and finical support to move.
It would be better but the process is long this Disabled apt complexes have so many rules! It's hard to find a low rent room other wise. I got a mesage inmy head all i need is $250 to move! Isn't that a laugh!
It would be nice to be closer to the city.

well Rj.....I'm very happy for you...see how well prayers work? So, now just hang in there about the equipment...we'll keep the prayers coming!....Is the issue about you 'playing' and it might bother the others with the noise? If it isn't blaring and it is daytime I don't know why they should complain. well...let's keep on praying and see how it goes!
Your head is better I take it.......for one thing the stress you live in will give you a real headache for sure! who knows...maybe this person who is speaking to them will have good news for you......hang in there!

It's not a noise problem for sure. I don't play loud. I play much lower than most people TVs. She says it's the electric bill they are trying to save money! thanks for asking. Thanks for reassuring me.

I have been reading this thread and I so admire your spirit.
You don't give up and that's great!
I can't believe the way you have been treated.
And then you asked for candles and prayers, my heart went out to you and although this all happened last week, I prayed alongside you all just now.
I work with mentally and physically disabled people and you have so much more courage and patience than us ablebodied folk.

Keep up the praying I don't understand on the keyboards they wouldn't use any more electricity than a tv or a radio.....I can sense they mean very much to you.....Maybe you could try talking to her again and explain they don't use much and if she talks about the noise can't you use them with headphones? I will keep you in my prayers.....How long have you been playing the keyboards?? Did you take lessons or just gifted?

Hello you all I just wanted to tell you about my situation if you all will read.
I'm moving out of Stinson Towers now, the apts of the disabled operated by HUD. I told you the Stuation about the electricity and such. I'm sad to leave. Can you imagine? The other tenent here are so nice.
I hate that this place is so strict!
I was just sitting in the lobby with my shopping bags, we just got in from shopping, and she told us we had to move cause HUD does want Bags in the Lobby.
There is all kinds of rules here. So That's why I'm moving!
So the good news is I'm moving in with my friend TILI. She is really nice. BUT I'm scared, I'm so scare, I'm a chicken! I'm afraid I won't have all my stuff out by my end date. PLEASE PRAY THAT so miricle happens and I can get my stuff moved out on time!
