i was bored a couple nights ago, so I, for some reason unknown, decided to try to see my aura. Normally its barely perceptible, in a muddy mix of several largely indistinguishable colors. but as I sat there and stared at it, I noticed that it would glow white when I was focused on it. At first I thought it must be my imagination, but sure enough, it kept doing it.
I wondered whether that glow could in fact be reiki, so I decided to test it. I tried to heal what is an effect from an injury I received a while ago, to sum up the injury: I broke my finger, it healed somewhat interestingly, and I'm left with a finger that "pops" if moved just right (acts like it dislocates, then resets). That went pretty well, it no longer makes as much noise or movement when I move it.
I was wondering if that is in fact reiki? If it is are there any precautions to be taken to avoid overtaxing or such?
Also, later that night (while asleep), I was visited by a young girl, maybe somewhere in the range of 13 through 15. She was wearing a pink sweater, had glasses on, and had the blackest hair I've ever seen. It was maybe a bit below shoulder length. I know I've seen her somewhere...though I'm not sure where.
I thought about asking her name, but it somehow seemed inappropriate, since she was probably offering information. She asked me if I got along well with others, then told me she could talk to "them" about getting me a role.
What is a role, particularly as relates to reiki and healing?

Reiki is a healing modality....it's tapping into that God energy ....healing ....everyone has the ability....but there are things to learn before using this ability....an attunement process....If we don't learn the process from a teacher it can actually backfire and make ourselves take on the issues from someone we are trying to help heal...please do not take it lightly...it is important to be 'grounded' protected and have all the knowledge that goes with it......there are places on the web where you will find teachers...it isn't too exspensive...considering...but it IS very important to learn it and learn ALL the precautions.....if we don't it can be very hurtful for the practitioner...and patient....
maybe an angel or Raphael stepped in to help you....but reiki is called upon with symbols etc...us reiki practitioners have symbols etc...to be used...and practice the 'protection' side of it and it must be taken seriously. This planet needs all the 'healers' possible for the times to come ahead.......maybe it is time for you to be trained???? that would be a great gift from God to his children in need?
I don't know what she meant by a role....? beats me hon....ask for clarity....unless she meant you will be taking on a roll of healer in your future?
like I said....ask for more...precautions are very much needed!!! just as in doing meditating etc....always take precautions.....when ever we open ourselves to another realm we always need to protect ourselves first.....and as in reiki we protect ourselves and those we are hoping to help...check it all out......it sounds as if maybe this is your path for your future....it would be best if you could find someone in person to teach you...in a group with others....or even have someone do reiki on you...see how it feels...I did it to my nephew on Christmas nite....he is SO much better now...
the glow you saw 'wasn't' reiki...but your aura...reiki flows from our hands...to the patient...from God through us to them...so you did have help from above with your injury...it would just be best to find out more from a teacher.....in fact I believe the 'admin' of this forum does reiki.....I don't know if they teach but they do offer healings.......I don't know where you live...but I'm sure there is someone in your area.......we are popping up at a quick rate around the world......everyone would benefit from these teachings...!!!!!!!

good luck....ask your guides and angels for help in seeking the best route for you....ask them to lead the way...and they will gladly do it....they are just waiting for you to ask them and let them help you!

wonderful idea........there are Level's I...II...and III..the third being Reiki Master/Teacher......I am a Master but am not teaching...but have recently decided to work with my own Master/Teacher this year to start that process....we are not really a Master/Teacher unless we 'teach' and it's not done just on your own......there is even a process to go through with that as well......so we 'know' we are doing it right.....when you receive an attunement it is done with eyes closed and the Teacher standing behind you performing symbols and such....not that is is secret...just that it is how it is done...I would love to see more in this forum ...more of the lightworkers in this forum take on this ability...It is needed now but even more so in the future....just think folks...we would be putting those HMO's and Health Care itself out of business....putting them in their place I guess....they would no longer have the control over this world as they do now......HHhhmm...maybe an answer to some of this 'out of control' health care isn't it???
so jordan......please let us know when you do it and cannot wait to hear your response to the whole 'Attunement' process...it is very emotional and incredibly intense....and when I received my Level I and II...in the same day...my world and life changed.....It strengthened my connection to that heavenly realm.....it opened doors for me and that is when I also started meditating which took on a life of its own....after a time my meditation got deeper and deeper and the visions started......I started feeling the angels more clearly.....once we attune we are more alive.....our spirit opens......to a whole new level...I felt so clearly my third eye chakra opening...I feel my crown opening.....I can now even feel them feeding me information and knowledge....I 'feel' them touching me.....my connection to God and Jesus and even my guides changed and felt more 'real'....although I knew it was real....It just became a piece of my daily life.......them working with me....showing me and my ability to 'feel' them and 'hear' them changed..so between the attunement process and meditation(meditation is very very important)...that realm became to me my 'real' world...the connection is 'tight'...my new way of living....the faith and such is SO much a part of my life....I have so much proof of how real it all is....daily...and I've been guided so many times since all this began I am still shocked at how much 'they' all come to me....I don't need to 'seek' ...they are all here and they are all 'helping' me always....by talking to me...showing...channeling...dreams...visions....It opens you to a new world...the one we have forgotten about lifetime after lifetime...If you are living at this time on the planet and led to even 'this' forum, chances are this is where your journey is going to 'take off' like a rocket...there are some of us in here who are 'proof' of the changes that can take place....and proof of how God works...Proof of what is 'real' and not.....Lately it is an everyday occurance for me to see something in my day happen which is 'guided' from them....I've now seen my past lives...been guided to books and such which before I may have had a hard time understanding ....it all comes together now .....it all makes complete sense to me. I think I am to be an example for others...since my attuenment ...the things that have happened are just too important to 'not' share with everyone....the channeling being done through me at times...it's very cool to experience....and I've learned now what is my thought and what is 'their' guidance. One day of my life....that choice( I was guided to make)...never before knowing even what reiki was..changed everything for me...and even those around me...I have much proof that reiki works...I have seen it work within hours....from long distance even.....from a phone call,to someone who was two states away....within hours...completely healed....so, although I do not need proof...others will.....so be it... If that is what it takes that is ok...
You could change many lives with this gift from God...but especially your own!

Think about it.......It is awesome and a true gift given to us from God himself........

Hi hon.........as I said I'm not teaching as of yet....there are web sites that DO this...I won't do attunements over the internet..only in person.....I was lucky and only paid $325 or Level I and II...did it same day...difference in I and II is the ability to use it on others...level I is for your own self....plus the three levels are a different thing in that by the time you reach and receive Level III it is not only to do 'stronger' things but also doing 'absent' healing...like I do here...."Long distance" healing......with the others it is in person......but the Level III is also a spiritual awakening event as well.....as I said earlier....it's as if one is for physical...II is for psychic and level III is more of a spiritual awakening thing...
It isn't cheap but it isn't costly either....if you have to pinch pennies then just start saving change..that's what I did.......there are some out there who are really taking advantage and charging thousands......it's so so wrong....greedy....I feel there is a need to get this across the globe.....there is so many healing modalities out there that reiki is almost 'old hat' so to speak......but, it is what it is.....a gift from God himself....the universe....that same healing energy Jesus said we all have the ability to do.....HE was quite more spiritual and intense.....without the egoic stuff and fear that we have.......a much more pure vessel so to speak.....Julia if I hear of anyone who does it I'll let you know....and like I said it is offered on line....I don't know anything about it though.......there are a few in this forum who I feel would really be a good candidate for the attunement.......try finding any and all information you can find on it....there is also a Reiki Institute and magazine out there somewhere.......I haven't read it in a LONG time.....if I find all of that Ill let you know too....anyone out there who knows more please help Julia ?

I have offered Julia an attunement, distantly.
I have attuned 4 people distantly.
2 of them to reiki 2 and both use it in their holistic healing practices.
I do one attunement at a time, at least 3 months apart, preferably a year.
I don't charge, either for a reiki treatment or an attunement.
I just ask for an energy exchange, like a crystal, pebble from, a beach, twig from a tree, a drawing etc.
I have a manual I wrote, but there are reiki manuals that can be downloaded free on the net.

I also recommend Diana Steins book Essential Reiki.
I would prefer to give a hands on attunement (I have given 9 hands on) but with msn and message boards, any questions can be asked easier than in a class.
When I do distant, I arrange a time, then prepare my space.
I sit a teddy on a chair, and use him as the surrogate attunee. If indoors, I put fresh flowers around the room. Angel figurines and crystals and lit candles too.
I reiki the room, call on Mr Usui, Jesus, Mary, guides and angels to guide me and then do the attunement, usually twice.
I am only a willing channel for the attunement, it's the others who ensure all is correct 
If it's good weather, I go to the woods and do it there, taking a candle with me.

I cooked a meal for my reiki 1.
I never saw that master again.
I learnt everything from books I bought and practising.
I didn't have a computer then either.
I found my 2nd RM through a local newspapre advertisement.
She attuned me to R2 for £220.
Then a year later to R3 for £400.
I have Usui Reiki, I am also attuned to Elemental Reiki.
With my reiki.
The 1st attunement is for working on yourself mainly.
You can also do hands on to others, and plants, food etc.

2nd attunement, you are given 3 symbols to use, a power symbol, a mental/emotional symbol and a distant symbol.
You are taught how to draw and use them.
The master attunement, you are given several more symbols, shown how to use and draw them and taught how to attune others.

wow mia.........I did get mine for less money than almost anyone I know....my total for Level I..II..III and Advance Reiki Training was all under $650.00....People can be found who, although they do it for a fee, also find a way to do it so everyone can afford it......In a perfect world no one would have to charge...when I am on my own and supporting myself I know I will have to charge people....so, my teacher said ......those who 'can' afford..then .charge.them....If I meet someone who really cannot afford to pay...I won't charge them...someday they will be able to pay me something or even use a barter system.........
I am of the Usui Lineage as well...so, does this make us 'family'????? LOL LOL LOL ???
I'm glad you are helping Julia........I won't do it unless I've accompanied my Master Teacher on a few 'master attunements' first.....then I will feel more comfortable.....I just don't feel right about it as yet........surely my own insecurities......but, I do need to work on this as I do plan on starting my own practice......I may even be offering reiki with a local 'chiropractor' in town...who knows????? God works in mysterious ways!

I learnt reiki, because I wanted to be a healer.
I never even thought about charging anyone.
But I do understand the need for an energy exchange.
I live with my daughter and I support myself cos I work almost full time too.
Reiki/healing is only a small part of my path, but necessary.
I am destined for something else too which I only have an inkling of.

alot of people who offer reiki also offer massage and polarity ...around my area anyway......most people I know, in fact, have their own practice....and I think in my future ,,,in the new time ahead it will be more of a barter system......like having a place to live...in exchange for reiki and other things....just an example....
I think in our future we will see more of a community as we once did.....everyone working together .....no one having to 'pay' .....we all do our part....what ever we are good at...like growing our food.....others are better at other things.......get my drift????? LOL
a much better way of living...
It's ok to charge for reiki...or any form of healing..that is what society has brought us to.....until it changes anyway.....in these days not much out there IS free.....too bad our world doesn't work that way huh.........

Greetings All, 7AngelReikiMaster here and I want to send Blessings to All for the New Year 2009...I am working on the posting of the new schedule for the World Wide Energy Healing so look for it soon to follow...The year of 2008 was a trying one to say the least for me and my family but I am Blessed to be back here with all that help here and those that seek Healing and/or Prayer...Please know that all you need to do is "Ask and you shall recieve" you will be answered...
It is in my opinion and has been my personal experience as well as what I have been taught and have read... that Reiki Teaching is to have a payment sacrifice of sorts..be it a monitary set fee or serivce agreed to upon before hand for the time and learning of Reiki I, II or III Levels... It is also my opinion that the fee be not out of reach so as to provide all those that seek knowledge the ability to attain expecially for Healing...Reiki is all Healing all Love all Giving and all Recieving and we must remember this and not loose site of the purpose of Reiki...Requests for Reiki Healing from me is always done without a fee all you need is "Ask and you shall recieve" you can personally email me if you feel to do so here...
We all have gifts given to us by our God, Divine, Spirit or however you personally relate to the Ultimate Power in your life...and mine is in part Healing and I give freely of my heart in that...I am also on the Journey of my Life with Discovery and Blessings that will Ultimately embrace all...so with that I accept all Prayers from the Heart from all that send to me as the paths continue...I send Blessings to all in return...Always, Love and Lite...7AngelReikiMaster

thanks 7Angel.........I was trying to get the message across that it IS ok to charge for the reiki......I do it free all the time....but if the time comes for me to go out into this world alone reiki will be my source of income...which is very normal in the united states anyway....Also feeling if someone cannot afford it then I'd so it free....or use a barter system.....some people don't fee comfortable having it done on them and not giving something back....as with my own sister....so, she takes me to lunch say....or a movie.....it's nice.......I get to visit as well !!!!!!

we are all looking forward to this New Year ahead as well...

You are very welcome atomic33, the picture of the Healing Angel is Reiki charged for Healing anyone that needs Healing you just need to seek for Healing when you view her and what you need is given as for Healing...Purple vibrates to Healing Energy also and I found the pic one day and felt its Healing Energy immediately so thought to ask and pass along to all that needed and was allowed to do so...if your able to capture the pic to your computer and save it you too can pass it along as you feel you need to or put it on a word document and save it for yourself when ever you need it...Healing comes to you as your needs call but at times you may not actually see what the result is..for instance it is not like you have a small cut on your hand and ask for healing and the cut dissapears in front of your eyes kind of thing but it may be something more suttle that is needed and cant be seen with your eyes...and in this I mean when you ask for Healing your Higher Self knows what that is and you will have it...Often times we ask we Pray for something specific and we don't see a result and then think the Prayer didn't work well it did .. we just don't see the result all the time...I hope this helps everyone a bit more...at times when we don't see the result we feel it...so if you are more in yourself as connecting to feeling you will see more...I hope this is not confusing but just know that when you look upon this Healing Angel and ask for Healing you will get something for sure and always say THANK YOU each time as more will be Blessed in your life when you do...Love and Light,
