I just visited the dentist yesterday... And my teeth lots of major work to be done, though I'm hoping I wouldn't need any root canal.
This might seem a weird request but please do send some healing and reiki energies for my teeth.
Ahhh, healing time indeed.

HaHaHa, spiritdancer! I love going to the dentist, but after the first two visits I have with this new dentist, I realized I have never seen some of the dental tools he has. Thank goodness for the 4 (or was it 6?) shots of anesthesia!
This dental work I'm going through reminds me of the oil spill... Quite a weird analogy one might say. But it made me think, my teeth were rotting inside out and I never really paid attention to it until one of my fillings came off and my dentist said we might have to do root canal. He said there are many ways to preserve the teeth, I should have been doing them all this time. I was in denial for a year over it, until I heard about the possibility of getting a root canal. I now have an electric toothbrush, floss (everyday!), and I try to stay away from sweets (it's hard!). And yes, lots of water is good too I heard, if in case I couldn't brush my teeth right away because WATER has minerals that combat bacteria.
Oil spill thing, we've always known these companies were there but we never really focused much attention until the big one. Sad, really.
Though I am hoping clean up and healing time is not too late... Both for my teeth and more than ever, for the Gulf Coast. And doesn't it make you think how odd it is that now the damage has reached Texas? Home for biggies who are so into drilling the coast? What goes around really comes back around.
Anyway, I'm blabbing. I just thought it would be interesting to share this bit. I heal as Mother Gaia heals, that's what I always say.

Many Dentists recommend extracting impacted teeth that are only partially erupted. Bacteria can enter around a partially erupted tooth and cause an infection, which can extend into the surrounding bone and become extremely serious. Impacted teeth continue trying to break through the gum tissue even if there is not enough room to accommodate them. The continued pressure caused by this attempted eruption can eventually damage the roots of nearby teeth. Removing a tooth that is impacted can often prevent infection, damage to adjacent teeth and bone, and save pain in the years to come.
