I believe that each of us has special gifts to help one another. I also believe in angels and God. I think I was led here to the forum by my angels like so many of us have been to help one another. Everyone is really good about answering questions and chatting about different topics. Hope you enjoy.

| Well thanks. I'm not so sure about God and angels and stuff - I hadn't really thought that the angels thing was literal. I'm something of an agnostic.

I'm dee.....from Boston, Ma. USA...You know at one time I didn't really think angels were 'not' exactly 'not' real...but didn't think they were such a big deal....that was many many years ago...I feel very differently now......do you think maybe you found this site for some reason? maybe a part of you wanted to know something...maybe not about angels exactly but about us, spirit, God maybe? believing maybe there IS something 'bigger' than us out there?
just wondering...It's a good time to be looking for 'a reason' to be alive....a human, a reason for us to all be here...and that there IS something larger and important out there somewhere which we do connect to....Look at it in a scientific sense if you feel more comfortable that way,,,besides...that would be closer to our truth anyway....or mine at least...Science and our Source of Us is connected ...check out all the Discovery Channel programs on the tv and see what strikes you fancy...these days they are really opening up to us and how we came to be and even agree with proof of a 'source'...so, finally science is getting closer to the whole God thing.......nice to meet you.......dee

Well like a lot of people, I've thought about that, and in a way I certainly *want* to believe. But I never really have, although I keep an open mind. Bear in mind that in the UK it's not as mainstream as the US - here if you believe in that kind of stuff you're basically a nutter.
I found this site for "a reason", sure - I was googling sites/forums about self-harm, and went here (though I know that's not really what you meant). Then I realised a lot of it was about religion and spirituality. I hadn't thought of that.

I always knew I was different and until the last year I have really started understanding and accepting myself and learning about my gift. I just always knew I was just kind of different and though a lot of things were coincidences but they were really angels watching out for me.
You are a special person each of us are unique and different. But we are all Blessings...
I think most of us have went through some really rough times but we can overcome them...
What do you enjoy? Any strange coincidences in your life?

Well, I have done. And obviously not everyone understands so I was looking up forums where people might be talking about it... Anyway. What do you mean, gift? I don't think there's any angels watching out for me.
What do I enjoy? Not much! Football, drinking, good music, good books... No strange coincidences, and I'm not sure what you mean. I'm a very cynical person.

What have you done to yourself?
I know I am different than others. There have been things happen throughout my life that I thought was coincidenses but I know it was angels watching out over me. Sometimes even try to show me signs not to do something and doing it any way and it would turn out not well...I have been through some bad things in my life and been through situations with friends and family...I feel I have the capabilities to talk to some people and help them cause what I have been through.
I enjoy watching my grandchildren being with my family,music, reading playing with my rabbits and dove.

I cut myself. At the tops of my arms so you can't see it under a T shirt. I've done it before but then I did it again recently and I felt like such a dick.
Anyway. I've never believed in actual real angels, i always preferred to think about that, and a lot of Biblical stuff, as metaphorical. I'm sad and cynical and find it hard to think of life as anything other than asinine and pointless. I'm a good person though.

I can relate to what you're saying about being guided to not doing something and did it anyway..I ended up totalling my car. should have listened.....but mowtown, I've been in the depression mode ...well, I was for years....and I know why so many people cut themselves.....I wanted to...and can see why people do it......but I stopped myself....even wanted to kill myself at times...Thank God I didn't.....I never thought I would or could ever be happy like I am now....No longer on the medications and am great and feel free...
I do believe there are angels watching over you...or do you believe in spirit guides? How about Native American Lore? You like to read right? I just have a feeling there is a deeper reason you are here on this site. Please don't think we are 'freaks'...we are not I promise you....I grew up drinking and doing drugs...hanging with the 'wrong' crowd I'll call it for lack of a better term......Life is rough mowtown.....and I know I would never want to be a young person growing up in these times...with metal detectors at the school doors...gangs...crime at an all time high....It's scary as hell out there......What's a kid to do?

Hey Motown dont worry about expressing how u feel ur amongst friends.
We all have had our fair share of horrendous times.
But everybody deals with thiers in different ways ur no different.
U have arrived at this site for a reason, and what ever that mybe will become apparent.
I see angels , feel them and do healing work with them they are very real , had u asked me 10 yrs ago I would have thought u were pulling my leg and in need of serious mental help lol!!!!!
But everyone has angels guides with them even the murderers even the most awful people.
No one is without them.
The thing is its up to u if you chose to let them into ur life , thiers no pressure it doesnt bother either way , but they will certainly rejoice if u do !!
Remember we r all the same when it comes down to it colour and rece gender doesnt stand for anything in the grand scheme of things and none of us have been saintly !!!!
I sure havent , but I have embraced my past and have learned from it , never going back there again !!

Thanks for the positive messages guys (and the PM - I'll reply).
I do like reading, never come across any native American lore. I'm British and it doesn't really come up! I like Kerouac though so there's some Christian and Buddhist ideas there, but I think that optimism is more to do with his own personality and talent than just "if I follow that too, I'll see that" sort of thing. "A thirsty man looks for mirages"...
I'm still not sure I get the "angels" thing - what do you mean, you see them and feel them? I would love to let something like that (something religious or spiritual or whatever) into my life but I'm not sure what and it does all seem too huge and weird. I've always thought of God as... yknow, I'd love to "give myself" to some higher thing, like a doll of myself, and they can live my life for me and dress me and feed me and take me to work and everything. But I can't, I have to do it all myself, and I don't want to anymore.
I like that idea "everybody deals with things in different ways, you're no different". Thank you. I needed to hear that! It reminds me of a book I read recently, by Miranda July, the title was "Nobody belongs here more than you", which I think is a beautiful title. It's really reassuring and life-affirming, you get the impression that she really understands people that don't feel part of... well, anything. You know what I mean?
Anyway. I have "embraced" my past in the sense that I liked my life then, but things happen that are beyond your control... and you can't always get that back... But not, in the sense that, the past created the mess I'm in now so it failed. And I'm getting old and feel like I've messed things up for myself. I hate myself, and don't see myself being happy.

| Doreen Virtue has some good books How to Hear your Angels is one of the first one's I read and it explains much...It talks about sign's from your angels like feathers, coins a fragrance or smell of a rose it explains things put it this way if you go to a bookstore and pick it up and look at it if it feels right then it is if you don't feel comfortable with it look for something else...You are not old I am 45 and have only really began to find myself in the past year and a half...What will it take to make you happy?
