I attempted suicide and was in a coma, and a machine was breathing me, for over a week. I was in the hospital for over eight weeks and am still recovering.
I am having difficulty praying for forgiveness, even though I know I should. I know, technically, I am a kind of murderer, or at least one who has attempted murder. I wonder if God can forgive me? I wonder if I can forgive me?
Please pray I find the path to total forgiveness so I can move on and live the life I was meant to live. Obviously I am alive for a reason.
Thanks to one and all,
Greg

Do not hold on to your guilt as this could be a detriment to your healing.God certainly forgives you so please forgive yourself. These lives are a gift from God and something deep inside your soul knew this which is why you have not succeeded in your attempt.GODS love and blessings are with you always.Keep yourself open now to the rest of your wonderful life and the amazing things that you will accomplish.God bless you Greg! Hello Greg. I just wanted to say that I nearly attempted suicide as a young adult.
It was 11 years ago, nearly to the day, that I contemplated taking my own life. One single thought changed my future. And one year later I was a SURVIVOR, not ever again to be a VICTIM. Being a SURVIVOR means to walk with your head held high, confident and proud. A VICTIM is one who walks around seeking pity or sympathy for being just that.
Whatever it is that you have endured, done, tried to do or feel guilty for - whatever the reason for your attempt...remember this, you ARE here for a reason.
Spirit has taught me that despite our darkness, our "light" will always overcome. Think of it this way, if you lived your entire life in a dark space, a closet for instance, when the door is finally opened, light filters in and takes over the dark space. The darkness never "pours out" into the lit area and overtakes the light. And even if that door was closed again, you will forever remember the light and how it made you feel.
And you cannot have one without the other. Think positive, attract the light. Think negative, attract the dark. They hold hands, and it is our human duality that makes it so. Think positive. Try to find one positive thing that has come of your attempt. Maybe that you have made new friends (here, and elsewhere)...or it has changed your outlook on life...or maybe, just maybe...imagine the possibilities....
You are loved, and you are in your "contract." Now your free will must choose what to do with it. My passion, for instance, is helping children of domestic violence. As that was my reason for being a VICTIM. Now, it is my reason for being a SURVIVOR.
Turn it around babe! May an angels wings surround you always. Best days ahead.

Yes. You are already forgiven.
I am so happy you survived. There is a reason for that.
Stay strong! You are meant to live a long life for God. He wants you to hold on for and with Him.
